Today I woke up with a small mass near my left side incision site? Has anyone else encountered this? What did they do about it?

Has it slowed down your progress? That's the only thing I'm worried about :/

I have a cold as well unfortunately. I've been fighting off the cold with broth and tea. Hope you get better soon!!

You will be sucessful, if you do exactly what the surgeon, and nutritionist tell you to do, as we as the sleeve. Many people have lost 100 plus lbs. With the sleeve, and the sane or more with RNY

What did your, surgeon say??? Did he or she not tell you this information.

He was very informative and said that this would be a successful move for me. However, reading some of the posts on here have given me a bit of a concern.

4 years ago I was fortunate enough to get the gastric sleeve, however I only lost about 70lbs and was extremely disheartened with my results. Last Monday I was fortunate enough to get the bypass. I have read on this forum that when you do a revision not much weight is lost. Is this true? Has anyone had a failed revision? I would appreciate the feedback anyone has to offer.

Yes. That's one of the options that they offer in the hospital to prove you can handle full liquids.

@@mpt809, can you still see if the stitch holding it in is intact? My nurse said as long as it is, you should be fine. I've had no new leaking today.

Yes, it still is intact, but it is also still leaking. I spoke to the nurse practitioner at my physicians office today and she says it should be okay until it is removed this Thursday.

I was not......Clear liquids only and Protein shakes. Now, bariatric pal sells Protein hot cocoa that is made with Water. It is essentially a hot protein shake and very good.
And....my liquid phase was clear liquids so in that case even the protein cocoa would NOT have been on plan.
Are you on clear liquids? Or the pre-op liquid plan. If you have any questions about your diet I would call your nutritionist or your surgeons office and ask.
I am 7 days post op and on the full liquid phase now.

Has anyone had problems with their JP Drain? I'm 6 days post op and I've noticed my drain has been leaking the past couple of days.

Hello, I've also gotten a revision from sleeve to bypass. How much weight loss is expected when doing a revision?

Has anyone started their Protein Shakes during the clear phase? I'm on day 5 post op and am wondering if it'd be okay to drink my Protein shake.
