After much contemplation, prayer, research & self reflection I chose to have the Bariatric Sleeve Surgery. This was not just for weight loss purposes but also so that I could have a fresh clean slate with which to finish the rest of my days on this earth with a healthier living habit lifestyle. I had abused food so much in my life, and the consequences of that abuse severely affected my physical being. I was overweight, exhausted, lifeless, unhealthy & aging fast. So I opted to have the sleeve surgery to give me a chance to do it right moving forward. My beginning weight was 267.9Lbs and my goal weight is 150lbs by the one year anniversary date of my surgery. In addition to weight loss I am also redesigning my eating habits and choices of foods. I am giving up ALL toxic poisons that I was addicted to for years, and replacing these with healthy organic natural food items. Food has powerful healing properties that have amazing benefits, and produce amazing results if we use them appropriately. My previous failure was that food was my drug of choice. I used it for everything: nourishment, happy, sad, in need of comfort, lonely, when I was fearful or afraid, when I was nervous, when I was unsure, you name it, it became a god in my life. BUT I CHOSE TO TAKE MY LIFE BACK. I don't advocate the surgery for everyone, but I needed it for ME! With this new tummy, I am more careful about what I CHOOSE to eat, I am more aware of my food options, and I no longer go for the quick cheap fast foods that were poisoning my body before, I now do the research and I eat to live & not live to eat. I am a NEW me on my path of happy healthy victory!
