Here's a nice article, science based, about where I get my proteins from, having a Whole Foods plant based diet.

My problem is that the only legumes I eat are peanuts. I also don't eat tofu. So for me to reach my protein goal I would have to rely heavily on protein shakes, which is something I don't want. I want to get my protein from food, and there is no way I could eat the amount of food it would take when I don't eat legumes or tofu. And I have tried, they just don't sit well with me, or they make me trow up.
