  1. Yesterday was my last Omeprazole pill.  Today I start my journey believing that acid reflux/heartburn isn't for me.  Certain types of food always brought it on before.  If I stay away, I should be fine.  Besides, I'm claiming it isn't for me.

So i decided to eat some diced peaches.  Totally forgot the one I have is sugar free and it's the worst tasting peaches I've ever had.  Took it to the trash.  NASTY!!!  Should have brought a fresh peach instead.

    Oatmeal it'll be.....

Fingers crossed for you, lady!! I'm on protonix for 4 months after surgery and after that... I guess we'll have to see how it goes. I had GERD before surgery, but I managed it by staying away from foods I know set it off for me, finishing eating at 6pm, and sleeping with my head elevated. Hopefully it'll be all that's necessary now. Good luck!

I bought some Omeprazole over the counter to take when mine ran out. I figured I would keep taking them for the first 3 months. I hope the acid stays away for you.

Thanks ya'll. I suspect it will as long as I don't do too spicy, acidic, or fatty (as I haven't been anyway). I'll keep ya'll posted if anything should arise, but I'm VERY hopeful it won't. :)
