    Christian sleevers ?

It's not often that I come to the special interests forums. I just had a belly ache reading through another special interest thread. LOL Thought to come here and get some of that ache lifted. I've been around since Dec most daily. I've noticed many people tend to drop out of BP after getting their surgeries done. I'm going to be updating as I usually do to help others perhaps. Will this thread be safe enough to talk about our lives as Christians? Seems so....there's nothing but hostility and attacks about Christians on another thread. Not lately, thankfully. Hope you're still around too hon????
  2. Congrats hon. Here's to a new you! 👏🏽
  3. Just submitted my info to Insure Nutrition to see if my insurance will cover Premier protein shakes post op.  We shall see.

You look great! Don't fret....it's not over. WIth all the exercising you do, you could possibly be NOT EATING ENOUGH to sustain the calories you're burning. Once you add in a little more food/calories, you will most likely see a change in your body again. Check out this site, should help. http://eatmore2weighless.com/ Also, there is a recent thread of a fellow BP member who spelled it all out, let me find it and I'll post it.
  6. We are just about the same height/weight and having our surgeries so soon together! How awesome is that!?  :)

DOMS, Water Retention, and Weight Gain

Finally....I love seeing others chime in about this. I damaged my metabolism by not eating enough as well. I gained weight doing this. I also worked out a lot. Didn't see anything going anywhere. Doc was always on to me too. I finally learned my lessons and educated myself. I've got a lot of information from this site, http://eatmore2weighless.com/. Helped me immensely. Although I don't like the idea of calorie counting, it's good to do/start just to get an idea of what you should be eating at the activity you are doing.
  8. So, this past Friday I let my boss know that I will be having my surgery on May 15th.  She never responded back.  So, her husband (the owner) came in and I told him (she had already talked to him).  He says, "ok, we'll make it work"  They're due to go to Argentina for vacation that same very day!!!!  lol  She wanted me to be in the office that week while they were gone.  Well, guess what!?  I've been planning this for almost 6 months (4months since I officially started) and I will not be changing my date for her to get her stinkin vacation.  I told him that I've been waiting for this and that is what it will be.  May 15th.  I could already see her reaction, calling her husband and complaining about the timing.

    Well, THAT's JUST TOO BAD!

  9. I expect to be there for one night and released early the next day. I tend to have a high tolerance for pain and am usually above par with my surgeries; I will also be doing as much walking around as I can so I can go home early enough. That's my hope.
  10. You should be cleared to deduct than, if it exceeds more than 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. That'll be nice.
  11. I'm not sure how I forgot about all of that. I've had multiple surgeries and even waiting in the ER a few times they've loaded me up with blankets because I was cold. The less I can take the better, I'll think this through a bit more now. Thanks again!
  12. I literally just deleted the bath robe I was about to purchase when I read this! Thanks for posting. I will just use what they give me. I'm always cold too, so I think just a couple of small fleece blankets to drape over me will suffice. But I will buy some comfy non slip slippers...I don't think they'll need to cut them off for any reason . haha
  13. Sounds like it. But like another poster said, don't worry on the calories. Get your protein in.

    Boobies...ugh

    It's never ending.
  15. Someone posted about the Hidrate Spark 2.0. Of course I had to look it up. Then I was ordering a purple one 5 mins later!!! Cannot wait to get it. It should help me immensely!  Wish I had come up with the idea....would have been making the big bucks. Lol

I just placed the order and got purple too. I was excited that they had purple. It's my favorite color. I wish the portion8 came in purple. Omg man I would make it all match lol

      Newme17

Lol. I almost got black! My portion 8 is gray. But my favorite color is blue, specifically sapphire blue. So teal, light blue, etc won't work for me. The purple was prettiest in my opinion. So glad you got one too!

      Sleeve1stFitNext

Yeah, I was looking at the Teal and felt like it would be light and I would not pay attention to it. So purple was like the perfect one. Especially when it lights up.

    Pre Op Diet

It is since you're not getting all the carbs and calories. I always find I'm sluggish when I don't have carbs. So I stick to complex carbs. When I start my two week pre-op, I know I'll be limited. I'll introduce healthy, complex carbs back slowly in when I'm cleared for regular foods. Or I like what another poster said "I make sure I get all my protein and the carbs take care of themselves." Have a great journey!!!

    Boobies...ugh

I was wondering about your status. Forgive me I couldn't recall your user name to ask. I'll follow you so I won't forget! 😊 You're stressed, I can understand. But please do not eat incorrectly because of it. I know you know this. You've come a long ways to get to where you are now. I know you can keep going the right road. 😉 Be kind to yourself hon. I sure hope you get some awesome reports! That's what I'll be hoping for, for you. Blessings to you hon.

New Zealand and US bariatrics... coincidences?

That was a wonderful and truthful read. Thank you for all you do! To your husband and the other couple as well. You're on point about the shame, lack of self respect, we all (even those who aren't obese) could use healing in every aspect of our lives. For a WHOLE body, WHOLE mind, and a WHOLE spirit. It's a continuous journey to be and stay whole, some need outside help (therapy, etc), some get spiritual help (a Godly miracle), and some are so strong they combat the negatives on their own. Many blessings to all who are getting help in all areas of their lives.

    Sore Tailbone!

You can always buy a donut to sit on. It'll help alleviate the pain and take pressure off the tailbone.

    Endoscopy Biopsy

I didn't have HP but had biopsies done. I had an inflamed stomach at the time (back in nov 16). It was nothing to worry about for me. When we hear "biopsy" it's almost instinct to think the worse, cancer, etc. Have hope. It's all well and nothing of the sort. Maybe it's just inflamed a little. Blessings to you hon.
  21. Welcome @Bri_Guy! I love this sight. There are ups and downs with a few people but in general, it's been very informative here. Congrats on your upcoming surgery as well. I'm May 15th in the states. Sorry I can't help ya on the travel issue but I'm sure someone here can surely give you an update on it. Many fly back after surgery so all I can say is, I think you'll be fine as well. Blessings to you hon on your journey!
