Day #4 of 14 PRE-OP DIET
My day started at 12:38 am (thankfully I went back to sleep)....I was jolted awake by a bang on/in our house. I looked over towards the living area and I see flashes of light going on. I instantly reached for my gun, but it was so dark, I ended up knocking over some essential oils. Finally got it and took the safety off. I'm walking with it down, ready to shoot if I need to. I kept seeing the flashes of light. So, just as when I turn the corner, a huge sound of THUNDER happened, and then lighting flashed everywhere!!! BAHAHAHAJAJAJAJA! It was a darn storm that came in. SMH. I texted my husband (he works nights) and told him what happened. He LOL'd and says I need to practice with getting it out. Well, at least I was ready to shoot if I had to. Ain't no body coming in my house uninvited, ya'll. Newme17's got a gun!
Ok, so the diet..... way better than the first three days. It's almost to the point that I can care less about food anymore. My family cooks something (in the microwave--renovation still on; or eat food out) and it might smell good, but I'm not wanting it. I've found that I've been craving chicken broth most of the time; it hits the spot for me . I love to drink hot liquids too, so I take advantage of the decaf coffee I can have too. So, did all of my liquids/protein today, had 2 cups of salad, with 4oz chicken breast, and 1 tbsp. light dressing. I don't care for much dressing on salads anyway, so when I actually measured a tbsp, I was proud of myself, because that's about how much I've always put on salads. Go me!
Should just get easier....I've got this down. Oh...best part, my jeans went on like butter today. No sucking, pulling, pushing to get them on. Yay!

Oh white and me do not go together unfortunately. The first wear, they will have a cherry icee stain (I did not even have a icee lol), ketchup, mustard and some grass or dirt from the imaginary ground that I did not sit on lol.

@Thejeweledsleeve, that's the story of my clothes, white or not. Lol. Especially with three young kids!

Pre-op diet day #3
its getting easier. Still hungry a bit but manageable. I love BP chicken bouillon. Probably my favorite broth that I've had and it's an unlimited choice for me. But I limit it still, I don't want to get sick of it. Let's hope tomorrow is even better.

Pre-op Diet Day #2
Well, I'm tired and hurting and hungry. I was going to post an update earlier, but ended up having to help my husband with a couple of wall cabinets that he's installing. Turned out to be a bit of a challenge. (Old house, uneven walls). I'm ready for bed, took a Benadryl because these allergies are acting up. I won't be able to take anything after Friday, but Tylenol, which I will be taking for my now, new, re-injured shoulder. Ugh. If I lift heavy, move it certain ways, it's killing me afterwards. Even now as I type, so I'm leaving it short as possible.
Today, I did well. I followed everything precisely again. I wanted to get creative for my one meal, but, well, I don't have a kitchen to cook. So, I just ate some more shrimp with broccoli and cauliflower. If I had time, or more time, I'll try to find something else other than what I ate for two days in a row. Does anyone have any ideas? I think would have just been easier to do all liquids for me. Maybe I'll get some seasoned chicken breasts that's already cooked in the frozen section tomorrow.
I'm hungry and going to bed as so. Goodnight ya'll.

@Thejeweledsleeve 😂 the pain from surgery? Lol. I'm no stranger to surgery pain, but let's see how this one does compared to all the others. Another good thing for me...I've got a high pain tolerance. So I might just be walking in the park, literally too!!!! Haha!

Once your weight falls away you will find that old injuries are way less troublesome. I have had a very bad shoulder for 11 years, literally have to take pain meds every day. Unfortunately it's the side I sleep on most, so that doesn't help, but now that my weight is considerably less, not so much weighing down on it at night, it's heaps better. You will find that you will move around so much more during the day and that helps to give all your joints gentle, regular exercise, and then aches and pains get so much better. Good luck.

Thanks @Brit in Oz. I still have to get the shoulder looked at, but I'll be soooo happy for it to be less painful due from weight. Like you, I tend to sleep on that side, although I have to move in to a position where it's manageable to do so these days. But thanks for your words...I'm looking forward to getting better all over!

Pre-op diet day 1
its not over yet! But I'm glad to say it's going well. Was a tad hard about 3pm, but I remedy that. My pre op diet consists of two protein shakes, and one meal (4oz of lean meats, 2 cups non starchy veggies). I have a list of free foods that have a daily limit. Mind you, they're mostly condiments, etc. I can have unlimited decaf teas and coffees, low sodium boullion, flavored waters, and of course regular water!
Here is what I've had up till 5pm central, in the order I had it:
16oz water
16oz water
GNC protein shake
16oz water
2oz raw carrots (the best ones ever, lol)
GNC protein shake
8oz water
8oz BP chicken bouillon (smelled nasty but tasted pretty good!)
then I'll be having, very SLOWLY:
4oz steamed Cajun flavored shrimp
1 cup steamed broccoli with 1 cup steamed cauliflower with 5 squirts of I can't believe it's not butter (yes, only five squirts allowed)
after dinner, I'll be sure to drink more water, probably put a flavor packet in it (for dessert!!! lol 😂)
Oh, and I found out, fat-free cream cheese is DISGUSTING!!!!! I'll come up with some crazy concoction to use it. Just gross.
