  1. I'm also thankful for the Round app! Helps immensely for when to take meds/vitamins!!!
  2. Likewise hon. I'm thankful of all of us who are here for each other too. My husband is supportive, but you all know first hand what each of us is dealing with and that's even bigger.
  3. Thanks hon, need the prayers. Yeah, I need to stay away. No way I could handle a stomach virus now. I don't know if I'd do it again, mainly cause my way of thinking is that I won't ever have to do it again.
  4. Is anyone dealing with bad breath? I'm constantly brushing my my out.
  5. Yay for no headaches too!!! I'm glad I can help hon. This is exciting, hearing all the good news, everything is getting better. 😊
  6. I've noticed, my mornings are when I feel the worst. I get up and nausea hits me pretty bad. I don't want to take any meds, but I just can't seem to shake it off now. I have terrible sinus drainage (being here in south Texas) and it's hard to clear it up when I've got the internal stitch going on, that, and trying to cough. I know past this nausea I'll feel much better. Didn't get much sleep after the throw up session with my little one, she woke up two more times stating she was thirsty. Thankfully I had a bottle of water on my night stand next to me. I will be receiving a new abdominal binder today. The one from the hospital was too big. It should help with pressure especially when I need to cough. Well, the day begins....I'm sure to take a nap once my older ones are at school and my husband is up.
  7. She's running a fever still. I'll stick to the brat diet for her. She had shots yesterday, I'm sure that contributed to the fever, but the stomach virus/ache seems to have come from maybe school. She'll stay home today with me, fortunately, it's my husband's day off too, so he can take care of her requests, as she has so many. lol.
  8. I fell asleep about 8pm. Didn't wake until 10pm. Apparently my husband got the kids to bed and took off to work without me realizing anything. Lol went to the bathroom, still no bm, brushed my teeth and come out to my just turned 4 year old on my bed. She says "I throwed up!" I'm hoping she meant in her bed...nope, my bed. 😑 I can't very well sleep in it, and my husband was already gone, no other choice but to do it myself. I do the best I can to remove the heavy sheets and mattress protector (we have it for cases as these-my kids). I went slow, but feeling so bad in the abdominal afterwards. I should be fine, it's just the strain, I guess. could also be in the head too, cause I literally get sick when I think of or see anyone throw up too. Maybe a combo. Anyway, poor hubs, he's to deal with the chunk issue in he morning. Nasty!!! Well, I feel tired enough to go back to sleep again...so goodnight y'all! 😴
  9. I wouldn't either. Lol. I get to incorporate those next week, along with fish and eggs. I'm gonna take it easy though, not liking how I feel just chewing multivitamins.
  10. You're already on cottage cheese and yogurt? I'm told clear liquids until day 8 and a protein drink , then I can start some of that.
  11. Same here. No bm. My doc told me if I don't have one by a Friday, tomorrow, I need to take milk of magnesia to get things going. All the meds will constipate us. But happily I have been tooting, I know, maybe tmi, but I'm glad it's happening. Less gas to deal with. I'm cold. Before and after surgery, always. Wearing a big hoodie, fleece pjs pants, socks, and have a fleece blanket on top. Lol
  12. Congrats to you too hon. I believe that pain is still gas. Got to walk it out...I wouldn't worry too much about meeting goals at this point. We're still in the very early healing phase. I don't even have goals from my doc. This is part of the instructions I was given. Hope this helps:
  13. I'm so happy to hear you're doing better!!! I was worried about you not getting your liquids in. Seems like everyone is getting better day by day. For that, I'm thankful and happy for us all! 😊

    Acid Reflux

I didn't think of this....something for me to research/educate myself on. Thanks!

    French Onion broth...

You all got me thinking how I can make French onion broth now. Lol. Probably won't be as good as I'll probably never get to have the one from caesar's, but I'd like to think it taste pretty good anyway. As good as I can have it, at least. 😊

    Potassium

Thank you for that bit of info! I will be sure to grab some more coconut water. And low sodium V8.
  17. @Sara Bronson follow us here hon. Hope this helps! 😊
  18. I think after tomorrow, I'm going to attempt Tylenol only. Been doing my little walks today. Last one wiped me out, I didn't get far. I've had a nap this morning and will have another shortly here. Hot chicken broth is the best for my stomach. Water is fine, I make sure it's room temp. Sf jello does not agree. Gives me cramps and the stuck feeling in my throat, even if I let it melt all the way in my mouth. Better than yesterday though, so all is well. 😊 And still sipping on the same protein drink from yesterday!
  19. Oh hon, take it easy. I'm sure you will after yesterday! How are you feeling today? Headache gone?
  20. I wanted my decaf so bad this morning but couldn't get it. My coffee maker is on the floor!!! Kitchen is still in disarray with the renovation. So, I'll have to get my husband to fix me one this evening, and tomorrow morning for sure! Hope you enjoyed it. I've heard of folks not liking it afterwards. I sure hope that won't be the case for me. I love coffee.

    Acid Reflux

As soon as im done with my 60 days of ppi's, I'm going back to Hydrochloric acid. You can buy it otc. Your body isn't making enough acid, thus heartburn/reflux. Take these and it should subside. Better than ppi 's for life. See tons of reviews on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000M4CD2C/ref=cm_cr_srp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8 Here's an article that helps explain it some too. http://peoplesrx.com/hydrochloric-acid-the-bodys-primary-digestant/
  22. Went to sleep about 10pm. Had a very VIVID dream. Almost nightmarish, that I sent my 4 year old to school in a diaper with no pants on. (She hasn't worn diapers in years!). I told her I'd go get her pants from the house and I couldn't find my car. I couldn't remember if I drive the truck or the sedan. Then my dad, who happened to be an old version of Lebron james, came to the school on an old Kawasaki motorcycle, told me that I left the truck at the house, so I must have driven the sedan. Couldn't find my Avalon, and I realized I left my key and my wallet in the car. Then had to report it stolen, cancel credit cards, etc. it was awful. Ok, so I woke up at 4:30 this morning. Forced myself to go back to sleep. Alarm went off at 6am. I had a hard time rolling out of bed! Went to the restroom, and I was pretty happy to get a toot out. Just means my system is getting back together to me. Brushed my teeth and walked to the living room, I was soooo nauseous! Took a nausea med. about to take my omeprazole, and hydrocone. Oh, and one multi vitamin and b12.....my breakfast. Lol. Back hurts from laying in the same spot all night. once these meds kick in, I'm a walking....
  23. Thanks. Wasn't easy, but I stuck to what I could.

    I'm lost

Go plant based, for no whey. That's what I used during pre-op phases. VegaOne nutritional shake is pretty good. Expensive but good. I was told to switch to whey for post op. Can't remember the science behind it, but once cleared for regular foods, if I do protein shakes, I'm going back to VegaOne. Currently I'm doing premier protein and those GNC lean shakes are pretty good too, especially, in my opinion, the snickerdoodle and pumpkin spice
