  1. That's a great goal to have. I'm gonna adopt it! 😊
  2. I wonder why so much liquid in the beginning? But I do also think it could be a more brilliant move since our stomachs are so new at this point. Maybe better healing time? I have also considered just adding one food every so often but keeping it mostly liquid as well. I'm still having a hard time with that darn multivitamin. As slow as I eat it, I feel it and it's not comfortable. Maybe I'm not ready?
  3. Oh yes! It is isn't it. I just love it! I'm glad you've found more relief too. Yay to the hubs!!!! 😘
  4. I believe it will be challenging as well...but we will live and learn through it all and with each other!!! 😊
  5. @esaad, wow, 15!?!? That's awesome! @Apple1 I haven't named mine. Never thought to. I found it humorous when you asked, maybe I should! Lol. I don't think I will weigh unless it's at the docs office.

    New Adventures

I'm so happy for you! My story is similar to yours. It touched me to hear how you've found yourself. I believe I will too. 😊 Congrats Hon!!! Many blessings to you!!
  7. I'm going to try overnight oatmeal made with chocolate premier protein and vanilla. It'll be my first soft food. I'm thinking to blend the oatmeal to a powder first. I am intimidated with large pieces at the moment. Lol
  8. Aw, home sweet home. Glad you made it intact! I too can handle larger sips as well. I made it through a bottle of water pretty easily yesterday. Today I slacked a bit, but like you am aiming to make it up tonight. I haven't added powder protein, although I have tons of it between my husband and myself, but I do make decaf coffee and add my premier protein to it when I want an iced coffee. Tastes great. But my guess with protein powder, you may want to mix it up a tad with cool water before pouring it in with coffee and broths as whey protein tends to curdle with high temperatures. Let us know how it turns out! Today, I've been drinking bariatric pal soups and broths. So delicious actually.
  9. That is great to hear! I'm gonna have to look in to that cocotein. I think I can speak for us all that we are all getting better day by day. It's been good for me. I follow up on the 31st of May it'll be cool to finally know what my body is losing.
  10. Same here! It's good though...😊
  11. Lol...you're absolutely right. We are! I think I'll have to try something real moist and chew it up good. But, who says I can't wait until the 30th, to try it? Lol. Right before my post op appt? That'll give my stomach more time to heal as well. You've got a great point. They won't do anything but encourage me to try before the next appt.
  12. So it fixed your craving. How awesome is that!? I agree, way better than a popsicle too. Sounds like you may have found your go to for lasagna for now. 😊
  13. I can't imagine quiet in the city. 😂 I'm sure it's there though. Ha!
  14. Aww, you're welcome hon! Enjoy your ride! (I've always loved plane rides). 😊
  15. 😂. You know what's also good with ricotta? Just plain unsweetened cocoa powder with a packet of stevia (or sweetener of your choice). It's great for the sweet tooth. I don't have one, but I'd want some chocolate every now and then.

That is awesome! I'm glad to hear it. Your nut has her head on straight. Lol 😆
  18. When I had water in the beginning, my stomach would spasm too. I found that warm liquids were way better than cool or cold. Try that and see how it goes. You'll be able to get more in too. Another thing, keep walking. Even if it's just mini walks throughout the day. It gets better every single day! Just hang in there hon!!

Well, obviously, if your eating the very things that made you gain in the first place, then that might be the issue. But, if not, you may not be eating enough too. Sometimes you have to kick your metabolism is gear with a few added calories. Our bodies are not made to sustain a very low caloric diet forever. Please get with your nutritionist on what's good for you. I've read countless posts about people stalling and their nuts telling them to eat more, what do ya know...they start losing again. I hope you find that right balance hon. Blessings to you on your journey!!!

I know this will sound selfish

Btw...not selfish at all. You've been working for this for some time, it's time to take care of you too.

I think and believe it's still possible for you to have your surgery too. Even though you'll be in the hospital for a day or two, maybe he can have what he needs nearby during that time. I'm sure he'll be able to get around with crutches maybe??? As for you, by the time your out of the hospital, you'll be walking around plenty. You'll be limited to what you can carry, etc, but I really do think it's possible for both of you to get fixed up. Have faith and hope hon that it all works out just fine. And if you have any family around to help, that's even better. 😊
  22. Thanks for the reminder. I have it saved on a Pinterest!!! Lol. I caught myself just looking at all the recipes on pinterest yesterday. All I wanted was actual food. Had to get off, I was getting frustrated. Lol
  23. Dear husband, right? I'm pretty sure but @Apple1 will need to clarify. 😊
