  1. I've seen them. But since I received a bunch of Premier Protein through my insurance, I'm not buying anymore. How's the taste? Decent?
  2. This is a long post, but I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of what the OP said (first post). I am not intending to be on another diet, but have a lifestyle change. I will have those things I loved in moderation. I will be back at the gym hitting it hard too, as I have always done, with heavy weights and cardio. So, no diet for me. Ever again. I'll continue to make healthier choices (which is fun with new recipes) and enjoy life. I won't be counting everything I eat either; that's just me. I will listen to my body.
  3. I've been taking short walks 2-3 a day since surgery, May 15th. I felt like I could go longer yesterday, but it was getting dark. I agree with the above, listen to your body. I am not one to be doing 2 miles now. LOL

    Pre Op Liquid Diet

I was able to have a sensible meal, which helped me immensely, but mostly all liquids, for two weeks. It gets easier everyday. Hang in there. You can do it.
  5. I'm hopeful for you too. Type 2 tends to go away with weight loss...very highly you'll have complex carbs again. 😊
  6. Did you try them then? If so, how did it go for you?
  7. That's the word I was looking for after I ate the beans. Gurgling. I researched and it's quite normal. We are ok.
  8. You don't have diabetes anymore, remember? CLAIM IT hon. But as always, listen to the medical advice. LOL
  9. I'm pretty sure it went down. I'm having issues with the stuck in the throat feeling. Before I was hungry in the mornings, but today I am not. I am wondering if maybe it just didn't digest very well, or at all. Sitting in my little stomach. So I'm drinking just water right now. I am sticking to just water and protein shakes, drinkable yogurt today.
  10. Had mine on the 15th of May. My plan allowed me to start soft foods one week later (yesterday). I decided to give it a try and I'm not liking how I feel afterwards. So, I'm opting to stick to the liquids for a while longer. I thought just because my doc gave me a plan and I can follow it (which is no problem), that I was ready. No, my body isn't ready. You may find yourself in that category, even if you decided to eat. So, I'm back to liquids, I want to be ready. Not feel gross. Hang in there with the liquids...it's probably a great thing for you as your stomach is healing.
  11. Mine seems to be the same too.
  12. Well good morning ya'll. I feel gross. I thought maybe 8 hours of sleep would make me feel way better after the bean episode last night. Nope. I'm feeling like I've got them stuck in my throat still. I'm going to hold off on them for a bit, along with anything else in its consistency. I've got my drinkable yogurts now. I'll add creamy soups too; no chunks. Even though my plan allows for so much now, I think it much wiser to listen to my body. It's not ready.
  13. I'd say call your nut. It can be a sign of a lack of potassium. You'll need some kind of bananas/supplements. I've heard of banana tea...you boil a whole banana with the skin on and drink the water. You'll get the nutrients that way, if you don't want to eat mashed bananas at this point. I'm sure there are other foods that can aid in getting potassium too. But like @mishyk said, keep walking. We need you here hon.
  14. Not on my plan...but I think I'll hold off for a bit while.

    Wowwee!!! That's an awesome change.
  16. Ok. So I got tired of just the tasting of things today. I didn't eat anything of substance at all. Mostly liquids. So, I heated up about 1/8 cup of refried black beans with some low fat cheese. So delicious. But here's where I'm having to learn what my body is telling me. Feels stuck in my throat, no matter how well I chewed it down. I really want to drink some water. I have this weird sensation in my belly. Kind of like when carbonated bubbles are bubbling up, I guess. I don't feel like I'm full or stuffed or anything. Content, which is what I am aiming for but I keep burping though, like I did when I was full of gas in the hospital. I'm counting down to some liquid.

    Update Surgey Status

I know the weight one. Scroll all the way down BP and it's at the bottom to update your weight faster than finding it through the profile.
  18. Bodies are changing. I guess it's a part of the process. I'm thankful I'm more happy than grumpy though. 😂
  19. I bet we can all talk about chicken and dumplings everyday y'all. Say, anyone find their hormones a bit out of whack? I'm crying over commercials. Smh.
  20. Beautiful woody area though!
  21. Yeah! I don't think I've gotten anywhere near that number! Lol
  22. Lol! I'm in south texas, Corpus Christi. My mom is originally from Wichita Falls, Texas....so I learned it from her. 😊 She always made them growing up, especially when we lived in upper Michigan for part of my childhood. Super cold winters and super good hot homemade chicken and dumplings. Yum. It's one of my favorites.
