I was allowed a sensible meal daily, that helped me greatly. Is it possible you can call your doc and ask for some petite carrots or something to crunch on? The carrots are what helped me too, I had to have a crunch myself.

I don't have the sweet tooth either and I've done a lot of broth during my pre-op. You're so close hon, hang in there okay.

I think we should all come up with a small attainable goal at some point. I'd have to think on mine though. Well, my pants slid on like butter today. It was nice not to have to yank and pull my jeggings up. I'm quite happy about that. Yesterday I wore my jeans, gave me saggy butt pants, already. Ugh. They were so uncomfortable, I had to zip them down (thankfully no one was in the office) because it kept rubbing against my incisions. So, won't be wearing those ever again! Yay!

I've been driving for three days now. I have a longer commute here and it hasn't been a problem.

EGG UPDATE: Success!!!! Lol. I ate 1/2 an egg with a tad bit of low fat cheese on it. I was concerned at first because of how slow it was going down. I could feel it. So I opted to walk back and forth while I chewed on tiny bites. It was very hard to tell when I was full though. So, when I burped as if I needed to make room, I stopped. I didn't want to push it at all. I also didn't have the urge to want to eat everything I saw too. That's when I know my stomach has settled. Then I went for a walk at a Walmart. Lol. Had to get dog food and a salad for my husband, ended up buying more stuff, as always, but it was a good walk all around the store. Another bit of great news....I'll have a functioning kitchen, I get my new countertops tomorrow

I abhor artificial sweeteners for various reasons. But I told myself that I can deal with it for six weeks out of my life if I had to and I am. The GNC lean shakes are pretty good. They have different flavors like a snickerdoodle and pumpkin spice, even lemon.

Soon that 25 lbs will be nothing. Good for you hon. I prefer to weight lift to maintain my muscle, just as soon as I'm cleared. Keep at it!

Yes, this. I will follow my doc/nut plans in the beginning as well. My goal is to be plant based....maybe 90% of the time. I have to throw chicken/fish every now and then. Before the pre-op diet, I was plant based. My husband went on it with me. I had new recipes to try all the time, easy too. And everything was sooooo good. My husband ate a lot of it. I felt awesome too; my digestive system was thanking me. LOL I can't wait to be cleared.
