    1 week, no weight loss!

The scale may have not moved but I'm sure your measurements did. I don't believe you stalled at all. 😊
  2. Absolutely! I've always had a "thin girl" mentality, so when I saw the number "266" (that was my highest weight), I had to think the same, health problems.
  3. I'm sorry you have to deal with that as my doc and nut are preaching the same thing. I think you should for sure focus on your protein, but you may have to find what works best for you as well. Find something that you will want to do for the rest of your life, that's sustainable for you. You may need to really educate yourself on how/why things work or don't. Sorry part is that there's so many conflicting arguments out there (like your team). But again, find what will truly work for you hon. Blessings on your journey!

    Workout

I was cleared at 3 weeks post op for everything as long as I listened to my body. I had a pain on my right side for a couple of weeks (2&3) and had to take it easy, but it's gone now and I've been doing heavy weights, minus the abs for now. I'm 4 weeks post op tomorrow.
  5. I have a question, tomorrow we have completed 4 weeks post op. But Thursday is the 15th of the month. Are y'all going based on weeks for the one month post op date or the actually day for it? I'm leaning towards the 15th of every month. It'll be easier for me to track.
  6. @Apple1, I see you!!! 😊 Love the pic...now a face to you. I'll be posting mine tomorrow! Along with some before pics.

    Confused

I'm just at about 4 weeks and working out, weights and all. Check with your doc.
  8. Y'all are gonna tire of me talking about the gym! Lol. Had an amazing workout. Did a little cardio, then did some weights. I almost did a full body today. So happy about that. It was just me and a bunch of young guys that could be my kids (if I had them young). Ha! Enjoyed my hour and 15 mins alone jamming to a mix of reggae, rock, and hip hop. Felt so good, I rolled the windows down in the truck and jammed out on the way home. Btw, my truck feels bigger now. I can only imagine it being moreso months out from now. Lol
  9. My plan is encouraged to eat complex carbs. But being so early in post op, it's not easy to get them in anyway for me.
  10. Indeed it is a great year for you!!! Many kudos to your SIL too, I am a step parent as well, there are hardships, but I truly love my step daughter as my own. Blessings to him.
  11. Breakfast: Egg omelet with cheese Snack: Pistachios (my fave) Lunch: Mango tequila lime shrimp (finally finished the last of it!!!) Snack: Sea Salt Vinegar protein chips Dinner: Italian style wedding soup Snack: not sure yet. Still need to up my protein, probably a protein drink soon. Also need to hit my weights. 😊

    NSV happy!!!

I'm so excited to be following in your steps then!!! One month post op shortly here, just another 4 months, wow! Congrats hon!!
  13. Say what!? That's a great surprise and day out! I'm happy for you all!!! The ages are truly spaced. Lol. I'd say it's the last one too! Lol.
  14. Great surprises are always nice to have!!! I'm looking forward to them myself.
  15. All those fit bodies are self conscious too, that's why they're always trying to improve. Remember that. 😉 I was a fit one before and always thought I had more to do. It's a ridiculous notion now when I think of it. I think I'll be way smarter this time around and just enjoy where I get being healthy. And it's not all appearances anymore either, as I've learned to not care what others really think of me. But I do have to say, when I gained most of my weight after my pregnancies, I was embarrassed to go back to the gym but I knew I had to work on getting the fat off, which I never did. Now, it'll just be so much easier to get healthier faster.
  16. I think it's great too! And yes, you are so young, you should go for it!!! You'll be a hot sexy mama, for yourself and hubby. Lol I'm just about ten years younger than you, I am for sure doing a lift. 😊
  17. Even though I don't know my weight or measurements (been too lazy to take them), I could see a difference this morning in my belly. It was good to see. 😊
  18. Yay!!!! That's is great news! I'm so excited for you hon.
  19. I do think I'll have somewhat some loose skin, but maybe not enough to be too concerned about it. I could see my stomach maybe being safe from having to get a TT, but it's too hard to tell now. I'm working on my muscle build, so hopefully my arms won't be too bad either. Definitely my boobs though, they'll be getting a lift. Lol Ive been putting vitamin e oil and Lavender oil on my scars, actually my whole tummy. I just slather it all on there once a day, usually before bed. Lavender oil is great for scars and healing.

    Concerned Mom

I soon as I read your post, but I heard "control". I've dealt with controlling parents growing up, even in to my young adult years. Your daughter is an adult and although she may or may not be making the most wise decisions at 20 years old (I've been there), you surely need to love and support her throughout, and not control her; she will indeed resent you and it'll break your relationship even more so. As for surgery, everything what the above two posters said. Please be there for her and support her and love her. Those that have support tend do to better mentally than those who don't. Give your daughter peace please! This is a great tool to have and she can surely get ahead in her life now, than 20 years later with all kinds of problems, especially if she's struggled with her weight early on. Please, support her!!!

    Vitamins schedule

There's also an app called Round, that you can set them up with too. It's great.
  22. I've had one before but, I didn't have one for the surgery.
  23. I had the same thing...but got rid of the chewable multi's and am trying the patches. I couldn't stomach the chewables anymore. B12 is good for me too and I take three calcium chews (bariatric advantages) they taste good. One thing that helps me immensely, thanks to @Thejeweledsleeve, is the Round app. My phone dings when it's time for vitamins. So, I'm not having to think about them really. Might be worth checking in to for yourself.

    Multifocal Lens Implant

I read the procedure. Isn't any way I'll let someone poke with my eyes. Lol. Hope it works out for you if you decide too. And your not alone, I too, wear hearing aids, or supposed to be. (Those things are just darn expensive), but my loss is from birth. At least they make them better these days than those big bulky ones behind the ears that I had growing up. (My brother flushed his down the toilet the day he got them! Imagine the heart attack my mom had!! Lol)
  25. Hello all. I hope you had a good Friday. I stayed home from work and had a sorts of day going back and forth to my daughter's track meet. Fortunately the stadium is by our house and so we just walk around. Did that about four times today, as my younger girls kept saying they want to go home in between the races. So we did. It was too hot too, everyone had their umbrellas and tents out. So, that was my workout for the day. I was too pooped to do anything else. Eating was fine too, just the times were off. I plan to get my kitchen cabinet hardware on tomorrow and put my tilt out trash bin cabinet together as well. My hubby started some of the backsplash grout. Looks great and clean so far. I am down a size. Went from 18 workout pants to 16. I'm actually kind of scared to do jeans this early on, so I think I'll opt to just look like I'm always going to the gym. Lol
