    Moving on down

Wow!!! That's a big change. Nice job!
  2. Hey y'all, been busy. TRhis is off wls topic but I'm reading a book called The Total Money Makeover. Talk about convicting. Lol. My husband and I are going strictly cash again. So we cut up all our credit cards last night. 😁 Was it scary? Nope. Was it freeing? Absolutely!!! Why we even bothered to bring them back in to our lives, well....this author gets down to the nitty gritty of habits and lies that we were led to believe. Anyway, I'm glad about it. Now on to wls, my fat feels more jelly like. Not as dense anymore. Maybe it's more skin than fat now. ??? Just feels weird, but good. I didn't think I would struggle with this, since being overweight for less than a decade, but sometimes I just don't see the change. I have to snap out of it and remind myself it's happening. So, maybe I should start listing nsv's on a paper and post it somewhere as a constant reminder. I think in a couple of months, it'll be easier for me to accept it.
  3. I cry when someone gets a golden buzzer. I missed it last night, but I'm sure I'd be right with you over the story. Yay for burning fat! 😊
  4. @Apple1 currently it's Jane the Virgin. There's some things in the show I don't particularly agree with or care for, but it's pretty funny. Very dramatic, like a telenovela. It cracks me up.

    NO Carbonated beverages- FOREVER!

Quit drinking them way before my journey to wls after I saw a documentary (or article, don't remember which) that spelled out all the chemicals that are used to make them. For example, some are made with flame retardant. Seriously? Flame retardant!? Imagine drinking that. It's poison! Terrible stuff that our bodies aren't equipped or supposed to have. So, I cold turkey them. I wasn't a heavy soda drinker anyway, but it just made it easier for me to do away with.
  6. Good morning y'all. Seems I'm regular now since taking the probiotics. 😊 I did not want to wake up this morning...so tired but my fault, I was binge watching Netflix. The one thing that's bugging me while I'm working out is the lack of sweat. It takes at least thirty mins for my body to even feel like breaking a sweat. I've always been a heavy sweater when working out, now nothing. I'd sweat within the first ten mins. Now I just shimmer, if I even get that! Not sure if I should call it a blessing or not. ??? Don't know if it's working against me or not???

    Vitamin patches are no good

How would they even know? If they're working for the majority of people, seems like you could just make the decision to use them for yourself. It's not cheating like with food. It's vitamins, just another way of taking them. My nut never said anything about them. I never asked, but I switched because those chewables were making me sick. I'll be getting my blood work done in a couple of weeks. We shall see.
  8. And I'm going to cancel my gym afterall. I'll be doing some Just Dance and some weights at the house. Enjoy your new workouts!
  9. Only on here, I've heard of them. Guess they're pretty good if they're being sold. Pretty pricey for tiny pizzas though. I think I'd make my own (the crust is made of chicken and parmesan cheese). 2 cases (12 pizzas) = $5.99 per Pizza ($71.88 total) 3 cases (18 pizzas) = $4.99 per Pizza ($89.82 total) 4 cases (24 pizzas) = $4.50 per Pizza ($108.00 total) Order 5 or more cases = $4.25 per Pizza
  10. Nevermind!!! I figured it out. It really bothered me. LOL
  11. I'm glad you had fun and lost weight, lol! That's awesome. I have moments with my eyes being bigger than my stomach too, but am very limited. I'm glad about it, as you are too. Glad you're back! Congrats on the 22lb loss too. AMAZING! Love your new pic too.
  12. I forgot to post a pic of my dinner. Chicken and veggies. My grocery store, called HEB, has all these amazing kits. It's so much easier than prepping/cutting, etc. I usually find myself throwing out extra produce throughout the week. I'd rather spend a few extra dollars and get what I will use for that day. Not sure who to save as img instead of a bmp file. Sorry. stir fry.bmp

    Drinking With a Straw?

I was probably about two weeks out when I realized (by accident) I was drinking water from a straw at a restaurant. I don't use them that much anyway, but I didn't have any problem with it. Guess I still don't.

    Final weigh-in

Take a water pill or suppository to make you go, if you must, but, like the above poster said, I don't believe it'll be so because of the 4 lbs. That would just be NOT NICE of them to do. Hope the best for you hon!
  16. GNC Lean Shakes are SOOOOO Good....and very little sugars. I currently use Premier Protein only because my insurance paid for them. Vitamins...i started out with Celebrate Multivitamin chewables. (Couldn't stomach them anymore after two weeks) so I switched to the Multivitamin patches. Also take B-12 sublingual (Nature's Own or something like that), calcium citrate (500) by Bariatric Advantage, and started biotin and probiotics (Garden of Life) just a few days ago. And if you need constant reminders like me of when to take them, etc....the ROUND app is awesome.

    Anyone in Texas?

In Corpus...so glad I did this. I don't regret this one bit. Started my journey in Jan, had my surgery in May. It was the pits having to wait, but it's good practice with eating, sipping, etc. Answering your question to ThickGirl5683, I'm one month post now. I drink my liquids just fine. The sipping stopped about 2 weeks post. Thankfully! Still can't chug, but you can drink good. It is hard to cram the liquids and trying to get your food in for the day. It can be done though...and it gets easier every day. Congrats on your journey hon. Be blessed!!
  18. I buy Garden of Life for women.
  19. You're welcome hon. I was pretty excited to find this info out myself. Those antibiotics always gets me sick somehow, usually a yeast infection. Thankfully I'm not on any of them now, but taking the probiotics, I've noticed that I didn't get sick not once (and usually do) with my kids having fevers and my husband was sick last week. No coughing, colds, etc for me! I do buy the yakult drinks for my girls though. I tried to give them some that way.

    Concerned Mom

@Gabbby!!!! We're here for you and your MOM! Blessings to you and your family hon. I'm excited for you hon! A couple more days now.....
  21. Good morning ya'll.... I have to share this with you. I can't keep it to myself, because that wouldn't be nice. Anyhow, I read an article about probiotics and wls. I've been someone to take probiotics before just because I've always had digestive/stomach issues. So, since BM's are so regular still for me, (thankfully I still have them though), I have gone back to take a daily probiotic. The article I read was done by a doctor who gave his patients a probiotic over the course of the year I think. One group had the probiotic (at least 50billion) and the other group had a placebo. The probiotic group lost up to 77% of their goal while the placebo group lost up to 60%. I stumbled on this research cause I wanted to see if taking it at this stage was going to be okay for me. Then I see the study and I'm equally happy that this is an extra benefit to using them. I originally purchased GoLive probiotics packets (you put them in water, juice, etc) and drink them. But my brother, being the health nut he is, told me that even though I may get some of the probiotics in them, they don't reach the gut in full, as if I were to take a capsule of them and it releases in the gut. So, I switched to Garden of Life probiotics for women. I started taking it yesterday, this morning, I wake up and my stomach feels flat as ever. I know it's not really flat, but you know the feeling when there's no bloating, gas, food, etc in it. I'll be taking it everyday, or every other day. It's not only for your gut, but vaginal health too. Our bodies need this good bacteria. It builds up our immune system and we have less chances of developing a cold, etc. It's a good thing. So, the day is starting. I need to wake up my two youngest and get them ready for swim and child care. Hope you all have a fantastic day and I'll be sure to check in later. Be blessed!
  22. I've put many different things in there over the years...and I always seem to forget it's there too. LOL
  23. I have oatmeal. I just make sure it's not a ready made packet that has a lot of added ingredients to it. I prefer whole grains oatmeal with no sugar and I add the sweetener of my choice. Do you have a plan from your doc/nut that details what you can have and when to have it? Currently, I'm cleared for all foods. I would imagine most of us would be at this point, but some doc/nuts are different.
  24. So wish I was off tomorrow too. I've enjoyed my weekend but it's been way too short. 😊 I need to get to bed....goodnight!
  25. Y'all might crack up. I was getting ready for bed and I took off my bra and out came tumbling a wad of $5 bills to the floor!!!! It took me a second to register where the money came from. Totally forgot I threw it on the side of my bra after my brother paid me back from borrowing some money. 😂 So ready for these things to be smaller!!! I'm somewhat hopeful, but they're not going anywhere yet!!! 😕
