    Food scales

I'm with you on this. Although I've been trying to gauge how much I'm eating by logging my foods in and I haven't been too successful with it, so....I eat when I'm hungry, etc.
  2. Let's rule it out. My lentils smell good. 😊
  3. I guess it's a good problem to have. If you recall I'd did that early on with that giant chewable vitamin and had the dumps. It was awful!! All because I took it fast. I try to be slow now. Sometimes I catch myself going too fast, and I'll feel gross for a while. But not as bad as that first time. Either way, don't want to go that route.
  4. That's dumping for sure. If you weren't having it before with them, did you maybe drink it too fast? That can bring it on too.
  5. I feel like this with the vanilla ones. Too overly sweet for me.
  6. @Gabbby here you go hon! It's a big thread. Lol
  7. Maybe it's time to let them go??? I'm supposed to be, but it's the easiest way to get a good amount of protein right now. You didn't get any other symptoms other than stomach cramps, like about to throw up kind?
  8. I eat black beans all the time! So I'm assuming riced cauliflower just doesn't cut it?
  9. I'd love to hear how it goes for ya. I won't be doing my lentils in the oven though...just on the stove top. Thankfully I'm off earlier today, so I can get them started in time.
  10. Hey lady. My chicken tacos are just chicken breast in the slow cooker with a jar of salsa verde, any brand. I like Herdez the best though. I just throw some lettuce, tomato, and cheese with it. I'll do my best to post my recipes to for everyone. Yonight I'll be making Lentil salad. Here's the recipe I'm using. I haven't tried this yet myself. So we'll see if it's a good one or not. 😊
  11. Unless I binge on netflix, I usually am in bed about 10:30 at the latest and up between 6 and 7. Sometimes it's too much sleep for me. Last night I went to bed at 12 (watching my show) and naturally woke up at 6:45...almost 7 hours. Im ready for some coffee now.
  12. You'll have to tailer your sleep schedule to your work schedule. My husband used to work nights for six years. He's having a hard time getting sleep now, his internal clock keeps him up through the night. But he's slowly adjusting. How many hours of sleep do you think you're getting?
  13. Yours look awesome. I love Parmesan cheese with a bit of a burn. It tastes pretty good. I haven't tried riced cauliflower yet. I'm wondering if my kids would notice.
  14. You'll need to do some research on the different methods though. See which is good for you. Although I don't and can't see weight gain as a side effect after having wls (can't eat much!!-unless you eat the wrong foods). But I'm different, lol, I would encourage you to save yourself too if you can. No worries about pregnancy for sure. Just be safe hon.
  15. Here's my dinner, chicken taco without the tortilla, and with the tortillas in the background! Lol. I forgot to weigh it, but I obviously didn't get through it all. I ate maybe 2/3 of it. It was good!!
  16. THANK YOU!!!! I'm so excited!!! My husband is on board too, so I'm even more excited. I wouldn't do it if he wasn't, cause it wouldn't work without the both of us. He also grew up with a single mom, not ever having the funds either. So, we both are making the change, for ourselves and our children's children. 😉 A better legacy.
  17. Did you do your workout? I'm currently waiting for my food to digest to dance. Lol
  18. I've had that happen before too. It was awful and we changed banks. The card I use now I use as credit and it has the security chip now. So extra safety features. Haven't had an incident since, been about six years now.
  19. Ugh...despite the energy I have on this VERY HOT day, (currently 92 degrees and rising), my throat feels like its swelling up a little. I am behind on my water intake though. I didn't do very good yesterday (my fault for not using my Hidrate bottle/reminders), so I'm trying to make up for today. I'm busy.....BUT, we're to get rain/thunderstorms starting Sat....so I'm pretty sure allergies are playing a part too. My daughter and I were both sneezing away this morning. Gonna start the allergy meds for her now. I don't know if I can take them or not...guess I'll call the doc and see. I'm gonna do some Just Dance again tonight with my kiddos. I love seeing my 4 and 7 year old dance...it's really cute. My 12 year old likes to, but she just wasn't blessed with coordination. (But we don't tell her that). I told my husband that didn't come from me (she's my step), so.......LOL Then I'll be going grocery shopping tonight. It's easy to shop for me...eating so little, but I still make regular meals. Tonight are chicken tacos with verde sauce. I'll be eating it minus the tortilla. Tomorrow will be lentil salad with carrots and cilantro. I'll do my best to remember to take pics!!!!! I'm slacking....LOL

Thoughts on Intermittent Fasting Post Op

Absolutely this. I did 16:8 before considering wls. I was doing weights during my fasting as well and had great results. Why I didn't stay on, just like everything else, I wasn't disciplined enough, or I am sure I injured myself somehow. (That always gets me off my track). But anyhow, I do love IF, and when or if I decide to adopt it as a lifestyle and stay disciplined, then I'd go back to it. I agree with Outside, one meal a day isn't reasonable for wls patients.

    I joined a gang...

    Bahahahajajajajaja!!!! Lol. That's funny. 😂
  22. I just downloaded a copy from online. Not even sure how I came across it. But I think I'd rather have an actual book to write my notes and such in. So I'm gonna hit the half price bookstore this week. You should! To me it makes complete sense. I actually had conviction about the way I handled money. My goal has always been to not end up like my parents (not knowing how to handle it) and I saw myself going down the same path. This goes hand in hand with being overweight too. Am not going to end up like my mom, with so many problems that stemmed from her weight! So anyway, I'm learning. I'm starting step 1. Be done with that this weekend. Step 2, will take a while, but I'm determined. 😊
  23. I'm not a big meat eater either. But I do like the occasional chicken and shrimp. I prefer to eat plant based protein. It even now I still don't get much food in. I am trying to log what I eat to see what I'm getting in a day. Guess it takes practice. But anyhow, your nut shouldn't be upset at all but rather encourage and steer you in the directions that fit you. Have you tried the isopure protein drinks to up your protein intake? Not milky at all.
  24. Thank you for the reassurance that I'm on the right path. With both my husband's and my income we should be able to knock everything out between 12-24 months. The second step is going to be the most challenging. We're always good having money in the bank, but dropping it down to the $1000 emergency fund, is kind of scary. But I have faith we'll be fine. So, I did declare this year to be the new me, I guess that all includes financially fit too!! 😊
