Your smile says it all!!! WOW! two months? That's great!

So I've been trying to wake up early and get my workouts in, only did it twice. I can't seem to shake off my tiredness in the mornings! I know if I kept it up, I'd make it into a habit and it'll get easier, but I don't know if I want to do that. When I workout in the evenings, take my shower, I'm so ready to lay down and sleep. I think I'll stick to my evenings.
Now, if I decided to stop working, then I'll do mornings...around 9 or 10. LOL
-
@biginjapan it is hard with work schedules and when/if you've got young kids, etc. finding the time can be hard. Apple has been able to get up in the am. But don't feel bad if you can't make the intentional workout as much as you'd like. Exercise only accounts for 20% of your physique anyhow, tsbawesome for your overall health but to lose the weight, diet is 80%. Don't you walk a lot to work/from etc? Or am I mixing you up with someone else?
-
You are right about diet being the most important!!
I think I have the most flexible schedule with no kids left at home. I can also show up to work anytime between 8-9 am or later lol. I am on salary so if I am late I just stay a little later in the afternoon to make it up.

It'll be here before you know it! I can cross my legs for the most part but prefer not too. I am always reminded of blood circulation being cut off and spider veins for some reason. Lol. I do cross them from time to time though. Happy you're at the end, you'll be crossing soon. You having the sleeve? -
Isn't it great!? Happy for your successes. 🙌🏽

Fifty Pound Loss In Pics! (NSFW!)

I've been taking before pics and I absolutely hate doing it but I know it's healthy to my mind-sake. Great job though! Nice transformation. -
My experience so far.... I had heartburn/acid reflux pre-op always due to fatty, spicy, acidic foods. Now I'm post op, off of the ppi's and haven't had a bout of it. I also don't eat those same foods anymore either. Seems to be different for everyone...some get it, some don't, regardless of having it before surgery. Many times it's triggered with certain foods or when you eat too, like right before bed.

You look great!!! Honestly, you look very healthy. I couldn't tell you if you'd look any different if you decided to lose some more, that'll be up to you. As for the fat person in the mirror...please tell her to go away, she's the past and doesn't need to be pestering you with lies and that you're living in the present now. I can only hope that my skin bounces back as well, I'm 38 too and started my surgery with a weight of 244, just a couple of inches taller than you. You've given me hope! Thank you for that. Again, you look amazing and congrats on your success! -

I did, but had to return it. the HR monitoring of them causes pain to shoot up my arms. No joke. Has something to do with past carpal tunnel/nerve damage....I do a lot of typing and ten-key. I did some research and found out there are thousands of others who had the same issue. I was very bummed out when it happened because I had my sites set on one for a while before I actually got it. -

This morning, my tummy was the flattest I've seen it since I was 28 years old. I was brushing my teeth and my pj bottoms fell right off of me. They were hanging on my hips. I guess it's really time to go do some shopping. LOL As I suspected, went to bed hungry on purpose. Woke up with energy (4:45am) and tried to go back to sleep, but I couldn't. So I just got up and decided to work on bills/budget. Enjoying my cold brew coffee with a chocolate protein shake with all my kids asleep! Hoping they stay asleep...especially the youngest one. She's a handful in the mornings. So many requests! Can you believe I'm having car trouble with a 2016 Toyota Avalon???? My husband will be calling the warranty department this morning. We bought the car brand new last year and it won't turn on. Not cool. Okay...back to my body progress. I think I mentioned that the doc wants me to throw in more exercise. Well, here's my hang ups. As I was working out last night (or dancing), my shoulder that was injured gave a sharp pain. It's tolerable now, but unless I want to be out of exercise for good, I cannot use it much. I also have hip bursitis. It occurred from all the years of spinning, using the elliptical, running, stairclimbers, etc. Repetitive and overuse of the bursa...which then gets inflamed. Well, it's inflamed now and it's pretty painful. I have learned to ignore it for the most part, but the ways to treat it is rest, ice, physical therapy (which makes it hurt worse!!!), and cortisone injections (which the doc won't do unless I do PT first, lol). Of course my toes are tingling, so it doesn't feel good in my shoes. Now, I'm not complaining here, I still get up and move around and do what I need to do, just wish it didn't feel like my body was falling apart all the time. Unfortunately, losing weight won't cause the bursitis to go away, nor the shoulder injury. I've got to work on how I can function around these. I'm definitely going to be praying for complete healing. -

Pistachio Nut Cheese....I LOVE pistachios. I eat them most everyday. I think I'd probably eat this whole cheese in a day. I'll be making a cheese sauce sometime myself to try out. Thanks for sharing and I hope all the vegan cheeses you make are awesome. Keep us posted...I'd love to hear how it turns out. -

Thanks Apple1. I forgot to mention it didn't I? He suggested that I go back to using the bariatric vitamins I had (but I refused...can't chew those things anymore), so I opted for the pill version. My nut did say that some people won't absorb those patches as well as others. So, back to the vitamins and we will wait to see if that is the problem. Rule out the easiest thing first. He didn't up my B12 though, says 1000mcg daily is plenty. I also think maybe it could be a shoe problem too. I'll be replacing them as well. Doesn't speak for my finger tips though, so I'm really hoping and praying it's a vitamin deficiency; easy to correct. He also says he wants me to exercise more. LOL I guess I should have told him all the stuff I do. I only told him that I worked out like twice this past week, but didn't emphasize on all my walking to and from kids' camps, schools, errands, painting, working on the house, dancing, cleaning, etc. It really does add up. But I will focus on intentional workouts, even though it made my feet feel awful tonight...more tingly. My neighbor canceled on me again...twice this week. I'm wondering if she really wants to walk or not. Some people say stuff that they just don't mean. We shall see. Well, I'm hungry, but it's already almost bedtime. So, I'm not going to eat but drink some more water, maybe a G2. I don't want to eat anything at least 2 hours prior to bed. Goodnight everyone. It's time for me to lay down and relax...and watch a show...and SLEEP! -
I smell different. I didn't or haven't looked up anyone else who may be experiencing this, but I went through like five different deodorants since surgery, 5/15. Finally got a salt stick that seems to be working just fine. It drove me nuts. I sprayed body sprays and perfumes and powdered...it was weird. I think it's just my hormones out of whack...ph balance whatever going on. Guess it's homework time to see what links there are to body odor and wls.... this makes sense from a OH forum.... "hormonal changes...mineral changes from vitamins, the way your body now digests food, etc. From what I have read, it seems that once your body starts to regulate itself...the problem dissipates."

Really? That's awful My nut just told me that it might be harder to get protein in (but I'm going to read up on that proteinaholic book to see what's really the deal) and that I should be fine doing a vegetarian diet. She does advise me to keep eggs and cheese in...cause I won't do cow's milk/dairy. -

Since 6/15, I'm down another 9.5 lbs. I will take it! Considering I think I could be doing better exercise wise. That'll be my focus. So my weight as of today, 7/6/2017, is 220.5. BMI is now 35.6 😊 -
Was about 3 weeks post. Drink mostly cold brew. Low acidic levels. No problems with it.

Okay y'all. I've had tingling toes and fingers for the past two days. Been researching if this is related to wls as I was pretty sure it was. Here's a link I found that talks about vitamin deficiencies and the symptoms and treatments. Apparently I might be low on B12, copper, and/or thiamin. Mine is onset. Do you have any numbness or tingling in your hands or feet? New-onset numbness may be related to the surgery, although chronic numbness may be linked to diabetes if this was a preexisting issue for the patient. However, numbness that worsens in patients with diabetes could be a sign of a deficiency in vitamin B12, thiamin, or copper, depending on the area of numbness. i have my appt with the surgeon in a few mins. Will be talking about this and possible getting off the patch. Maybe it's not doing as much???? I've also been getting headaches more often. So....here's the link. Read on, it's good to have the knowledge. http://www.todaysdietitian.com/newarchives/111412p50.shtml -

We all have those whining moods too. You are not alone. Just means you're normal. Lol. The calculator in my opinion does work. When I was really putting effort in to calories at one point in my life, I followed the eatmore2weighless calculator. My doc was upset that I wasn't eating enough, this I kept gaining weight. Go figure. But the science proves it. Anyway, I used to to make sure I ate more. It worked, problem was, I went back to old habits. At least with wls, I'm in my element of not eating enough. I've got time to work on this. Have yourself a great and blessed day too!!! -

Oh no, I'm so sorry you went through all that mess and drama!!! My prayer for you is a complete healing hon. The 30 lbs added while in the hospital has to do with all the fluids and meds they pumped you up with, so it doesn't count. 😊 I'm learning and going vegetarian. I've decided that I won't be cutting cheese out just yet, but I'm due time. But I did find a "cheese" sauce on Pinterest that is vegan. It's worth a try...I'll be trying t sometime and seeing if my kids could even tell the difference. I'll post the link here. I've even been researching on Dr Garth Davis, who is a bariatric surgeon and a vegan. He has his patients on vegetarian/vegan diets. Also wrote a book called Proteinaholic that I've been trying to find. My half priced bookstore didn't have it. Anyway, it's quite interesting. Been going plant based since before surgery, but finally kicking it off here for the most part. What I should have said in the beginning...WELCOME BATTY'S MOM!!!! 😊 We post quite regularly here and we keep each other encouraged and going. We're here for you! Glad to have ya on board. -
Or just buy some frozen berries from the grocery store!!! Which I will be doing. 😊 I want to be mistaken for a 25 year old. Lol

The holiday was easier for me, I was off on Monday too. Sorry it sucked. My BMR is approximately 1760 calories currently. I used to always use this calculator to get an idea of my BMR and tdee numbers. http://eatmore2weighless.com/weight-loss-calculator/ -
How do you measure your major milestone dates?
Newme17 replied to biginjapan's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I use the date of the month for my monthly. Surgery May 15th, then the 15th of every month afterwards. For now I'm going by weeks..I'm 7 weeks this week. It's kind of like having a baby really...in the beginning, we say "he/she is this many weeks." Then at some point "he/she is this many months" lol. Like birthdays too, would you celebrate it two weeks early because technically you'd be such and such weeks/days old? No...just on the date of your birth. 😊The only way I can describe it.
