I had UHC plus and it took them 10 business days. I was required to do 6 months pre-op. My BMI was 48 and I had hypertension, but I was told it’s much easier to get approved with UHC than Aetna. Also they didn’t care if I gained weight during that 6 month period just as long as I didn’t miss any supervised dieting appointments. Maybe that helps? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I'm so looking forward to this. Considering I'm only a week out, LOL, I've got awhile. Glad to know me and hubby's tradition isn't over forever.

Thought I would add on to this post. I have UHC and I did not have to do an EKG or an ultrasound. I also didn't have to keep records of my food or exercise. I did have to do 6 months worth of supervised dieting. I had to have a psych evaluation. I did have to do a endoscopy. My final appointment with my surgeon was to answer final questions. I was told approval/denial would be sent within 7-10 business days from UHC. It took them exactly 9 business days for an approval. I did NOT have to lose a specific amount of weight beforehand and actually gained from my first appointment 6 months ago and still received an approval. I'm located in Texas and could be different depending on which plan you have UHC. It's been a painless process though. Surgery is scheduled for June 12, 2017. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Surgery "Cover Story" for friends, coworkers, etc

The only thing is if you say you had gallbladder surgery and then for some reason REALLY have to have gallbladder surgery (it's not uncommon for WLS patients) it might mess up your story. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I was wondering about this as well! I haven't had surgery yet but I'm thinking without implants I'd the way to go. I'd like to stay as natural as possible when I get to that step. Thanks for sharing! You look great. Hope you have a speedy recovery. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. Being able to fly without my fat touching the person next to me. Being able to snowboard without struggling to get up. Shopping will be more enjoyable. Also I'm looking forward to my heart rate spiking when I'm doing stupid things like putting on my shoes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
