Hi All, So all went really well today. I arrived and got my weight and height taken which I was 3 pounds lighters from the last time I weighed and also half and inch taller. lol I then saw the nurse who went few a series of questions regarding food, exercise health and mental health. It was explained that I would then have bloods and a ecg done before heading into the seminar. once having my test I sat and took it everything that was being said about pre op and post op relating to food, about the 3 surgery's that are usually offered and also about the new research regarding what is more useful be it the band bypass or sleeve and if you didn't mind having any of them that you could be part of the research if you wished and it is pot luck what surgery u receive. I need to wait till April to see the consultant and hopefully if I don't need anymore investigations into my health i will be seen by the mdt team in may to discuss my case. Hi all. I am still awaiting my GP to send my application which should be done on the 6th so I know I have a long wait ahead of me. I started slimming world back in September and so far have lost 18pounds should I continue with this or now wait until i have my meeting with the hospital as I am unsure if they will take into consideration the weight I have already lost. Hi everyone. Glad did found the UK page. Anyone here been sleeved in the homerton in London. I'm waiting on my blood tests and other bits from my doctor before she will refer me to there. I'm hoping it's not a overly long road as I just want to love my life how I want. I'm sick and tired of being this way now. Fingers crossed. Ow gosh. I'm in Essex also and I would not be able to pay privately for it. Hopefully I will get funded but I guess you just don't no. I have high blood pressure, underactive thyroid and PCOS.
