  4. @vs I just started oatmeal this week. You have to watch it with the Fiber. Also its in the head you not really starving. That part will calm down. Its a complete discount. Your stomach can only handle 3 or 4 bites of food. Your stomach is no bigger than a gulf ball. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. K2- don't be alarmed by the gurling noise it will setting down. Its not hunger. 1 month Anniversary!

@@veg! Much better the first 2/3 weeks were very hard. Crazy digestion. This week its calming down. Make sure you feel like you are at home in hospital. Brought my favorite pillow, blanket, robe and slippers. Trust me on the slippers it helps with walking. I am so excited for you! Take your measurements the night before surgery and then check again in two weeks! I have my normal energy back. Keep walking after surgery don't fall in the trap of just laying in bed. It made my recovery much smoother. You are going to have a serious disconnect with the brain and stomach afterwards don't be alarmed. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  14. Total disconnection between the head and tummy. And totally had issues with any type of liquid for 2/3 weeks. Today is my 1 month anni! I can drink normal. And I lived on yogurt for full liquids. I just took milk and watered it down and made freezy pops. Worked well with gas issues. I did the same thing with Jello. Surgery Date 12/30

Yayayaya! So strange. My Aunt flo started the day before surgery! Nerves I am guessing. It took me two weeks to feel normal. I was thinking about you. i am glad you posted! I do my fit bit now and get my normal 10,000 steps. I went for my 1 month post-op while you are in recovery They put me on soft foods for another two weeks since i completely skipped the puree stage. I could not handle it. I am on target and lost a total of 17lbs and I am slightly under 40bmi :-). I am so glad you got up and moving and I bet the doc's and nurses were very proud of you! Awaken by your own cold body

Omg! I had the same problem for a week after my surgery. I always sleep with my ac on and a thick blanket. This time i kept it on and I had to turn on my heating blanket. i could not get warm for the life of me. It passed and now I am fine. But so strange. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Fit bit? Should I?

I love my fitbit the challenges with my firbit friends keep me motivated, and my goal is to beat my hubby since he is on his feet all day! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. I am in the same boat and had to ride my BMI for 6months if I dropped insurance would not pay for it. I binged all my favorite foods before pre-op liquid diet. I also made sure I did 10,000 steps a day with my fitbit and most days hit 14,000 steps. I also started my Vitamins and making sure I hit 1200 calories and 65grams of Protein a day. This is what life is like after surgery. I am 1 month out and just had my 1 month post op today. I am down 17lbs. I am on target. I have no cravings for food and just got my hand slapped that I am not to rely on Protein shakes that I need to eat. Unfortunately most days I don't want to eat and I have to make this change and force myself. Its not easy after surgery and my eyes are bigger than my stomach. Up- And DON'T be alarmed about weight gain. Its just Water weight it will come off. Mine took a week. Your on a IV. I have my 1 month post-op on Monday. And I lost a total of 14lbs since I started the liquid pre. My cloths fit normal instead of feeling like I an going to burst out of them. I am happy with the slowness of the weight loss. Its exactly what I hoped for. I see such a difference in my body shape. Awwee i am so excited for you. My hubby was a troop ( no punt intended he is a sgt. In the army) he was there for everyday and made sure I walked at home and helped me down the stairs) make sure you have loose fitting items to where at home. ( I had no shame going out in my pj's and robe to stores for the first 4 days). They fixed a hernia while they were in there so I ended up with 7 incisions. No outside stitches so barely any scares. :-) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Negative Nellies!

@@Wonderwoman My mother in law is not supportive at all, she see's failure, which drives me to prove her wrong! People don't understand its an aide, its not a permanent fix. We all still have to workout, and eat healthy. This just gives us a reboot to start over. I miss my raw foods though, and I can barely eat. I wait all day to have a 1/3 cup of food with hubby at night. I made homemade Chinese last night it was so good and tons of healthiness. I am dying for pizza so I am going to make cauliflower pizza this weekend. I am so trying to stay away from bread I love it way too much! I love the fact that creative cooking can come out and I know making these changes will prove a healthier eating style and again prove wrong! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Negative Nellies!

Wow- i had nothing but positivity at work. My work brother and Mom were on my ass to make sure I hit my fitbit 10,000 steps by the end of the day. I had to stay on target with weight before my surgery. I am so glad for their support because I didn't have it from everyone else! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
