  1. Amartyn1- Just a suggestion change up your routine at the gym, don't stick to the same. If you do the treadmill go to the elliptical or if you are lucky do the stairclimber. If you do push up's and sit ups on the floor grab a medicine ball and do your sit-ups on there. I find constantly changing your routine promotes weight loss and muscle growth. And remember you have to burn what you take in. So if you are eating 1200 calories a day you have to burn that. 3500 calories is a pound. It takes 30 mins of cardio to burn carbs after that its fat loss. I have feeling since you are loosing inches your body is going through muscle growth. Which is not a bad thing. Find an app to track your gym routine. You want muscle it defines the skin w/ not having alot of skin issues. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. I cannot stress enough how important is to measure yourself. I had my surgery on 11/22. I decided to take my measurements prior to pre-op diet. I am coming up on my two month anniversary on Monday. I am excited to not only go down a pant size, but more importantly seeing the numbers drop. I hope this is motivational for our post-op peeps that are struggling with bring stagnant with weight loss. I have been stuck at the same number on the scale for over a week and it finally moved a pound down today! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  6. Please keep us posted. My scale was the same as my dietitian's scale. I wore the lightest cloths I could find and even changed a million times before I left to get officially weighted in and took my shoes off when I was there. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. @10 you can do this just log your calories, and keep doing cardio do weights once a week. That is what my dietitian told me and it worked and drink 65 ounces of Water a day. I did cleansing as well. Mostly Fiber pills. I was under fire to get the surgery as well as my time was coming to an end with job elimination. I was seriously obsessed with the scale. I did everything to burn calories. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. I had to loose 9lbs in a month. I set-up two week appts. With my dietitian to make sure I keep my goal. I lost two pounds each time I saw her. I did it by doing 14,000 steps a day and calories between 1,000 and 1200. My fit bit and calorie counting did it for me. No carbs and no sugar. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Weight loss vs inches lost

Wow- we are close 10 days off... i have lost 27.9 lbs so far :-)! I had to go buy a few new pants... i am still struggling w/ shirt sizes.. but I fit into smaller coat sizes. Woman's cloths are so weird! I do most shopping from thrift stores cuz there is no way in hell I spending 30 to 40 bucks on jeans, and not have them fit 6 months out. I can spend that much at a thrift store and come back with a warbdrobe. Although burlington and foreman mills have decent prices that I don't mind. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Weight loss vs inches lost

So happy to help V! You can try to guesstimate it by measuring your biggest pair of paints that you used to wear and measure a shirt that you use to wear or maybe still wear and put that against the measurements you have now. It may not be completely accurate, but it will give you an idea. I am going to experiment it tomorrow and see how it measure-ups. I'll let you know. I know there is tons of room now in the bigger pants where I used to fill them out. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Thanks VS! ❤️! My hubby has been such a sport. ( I only think it has to do the boobs)! But seeing his face when there is a big jump is priceless! He does not allow me to look at it until he is done, but I can tell there is a major difference with his expressions! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Pennsylvania sleevers?

@ wayne, I had mine on 11/22. Apparently everyone was "new" when I had mine. I am actually doing very well. I posted a bit earlier with my inches lost since surgery. I have dropped around 28lbs. I still have trouble with raw so I am staying away from it. I am still doing more soft foods than anything. I just had a conversation with a local that had the sleeve done and she is going to do a reboot. Same predicament that you are in. You can do it! We all support you. Pennsylvania sleevers?

I was with Dr. Noonan! her! She is very spunky! I was blind sided with my original dr. My insurance would not cover it. Her team stepped up and got me in just in the nic of time and I could not be more thank-ful. Although the "hospital staff" could of been a lot better. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Crying on the bathroom floor

❤️! You are reshaping your body at the same time. I wear leg weights when I walk. Just to be able to grow my muscle. I just think at least for females its so important to measure. Us girls do so much better when we see the changes. I noticed when I had to buy new pants. It maybe only a size down, but its a size gone. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Crying on the bathroom floor

The frustrating posters! Please don't get discouraged. I hope you took measurements before surgery. You might be at a stall but, if you are walking everyday the inches are going down and you are building leg muscle which weights more than fat. If you have not started tracking the inched lost I encourage you to start now. I have been stuck for almost a week at the same weight but lost a half inch in that time frame. I am a month and 3 weeks out and lost 5 inches so far from head to toe. My hubby measures me. He is worried about me loosing my boobs ! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    So.. The Gym?

I used to be a mess at gym. Now I don't care. I am all over that place and one of my favorite pieces of equipment is the smith machine. I love isolation super sets and when the hubby is with me I love to weighted ball throws. People look at me "like what the hell"? But it does stop me from doing it.
