Awesome! I cannot WAIT to travel and not feel like I'm going to collapse within the first few steps. As a matter of fact, I already purchased tickets to visit my sister in Finland in November and am soooooo excited for the experience. I just had my surgery last Friday. I'm 5'10 and was 302lbs on surgery day. I go for my first follow up next Friday and am looking forward to see how much I will have lost by then. Congratulations on ur success. Congrats on getting to the other side 😊 You're not the only one: I started thinking about food day 3. I tried to use the time to understand the difference between real hunger and head hunger. I knew mine HAD to be head hunger because my new stomach was still sore and full from protein shakes and crystal light. I tried to keep my brain occupied by manually creating a chart to keep track of what I ate/took daily. Also I tried reading up on mind-body connection After all, that mind-body disconnect IS why I got to this point. I also knew my end goal was to get it straight in my head and deal with whatever issues made me such a big over eater So really this is ur best time to start/continue that journey. Don't substitute one addiction with another I wish you well!! Ana

I'm allowed lo-carb vegetables so I googled it to know which vegetables fit the bill and came up with a salad of beet/artichoke hearts/cucumber/onion/fat free Caesar salad dressing. It absolutely helps with the hunger. It's delicious.

That's awesome news! My nutritionist and the surgeon's assistant bot said it would be hard to swallow pills. Thankfully I only take Allegra-D for allergies, unlike so many other people who take a boatload. R u saying that u were able to take the vitamins and calcium 24hrs after surgery?

My surgery is this Friday May 12th and I feel like going to the store and punching a whole in every protein shake I find lol!

I just had the appointment with my surgeon this morning and incredibly they had a cancellation for May 12th (10 days from now ). I snatched it up immediately...can you believe it??? I'll start the 2-week liquid diet asap. So excited!

Yes! Can't wait for the aches and pains to lessen/disappear!

Same thing happened to me: biopsies of my stomach. It turned out that I had the H. Pylori bacteria and was given a two-week antibiotic treatment. Apparently pretty common, even though I'd never of it till then.
