  1. I'm almost a year post op and my daughter, who is 15 and has autism, never said a word about my weight loss until recently. We were in the car and she asked me how come I was skinny now. And I reminded her about my surgery then she says, "mom, I liked it better when you were original" Just thought it was funny the way she said it. 3 months Post Op .... Hair Loss

My hair started to fall out at 3 months post op. I lost hair for a full 6 months. I'm 9 month post op now and it finally stopped. I tried everything. Got in all my protein, took biotin, and tried the nioxin hair treatment but nothing helped. I lost at least half of my volume of hair and it looked terrible. So yesterday I went and got it all cut off. The day of surgery my hair was down to my butt and now it's up to my ears but I love it and it looks healthier. Before surgery you know there is a chance it can happen but when it happens to you it can be alarming and depressing but I just had to remind myself often that it's temporary. So that's my experience with hair loss. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using BariatricPal mobile app

Looking for better calcium citrate option

I found this at Wal-Mart. It's much cheaper than the chews. Easy to get down and it's only one tablespoon 3 times a day for 1500 mg. The chews taste better but it's not bad just strong orange flavor. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using BariatricPal mobile app

    Menstrual Cycles Changes After VSG?

Hi! I was sleeved on March 13th and I have also lost 27 pounds so far. I have had PCOS since my teenage years and have never had a cycle naturally. I took metformin for years and that helped regulate my cycles. It also helped me get pregnant. Although that was 14 years ago. I was taken off metformin 2 weeks before my surgery day and one month after surgery I had a cycle on my own. First time ever. And I'm 41 years old. So there is hope it will happen for you too. Unjury protein

The soup is my favorite too. I use a thermometer and heat my water to 140 and it comes out just right. Any hotter it will change the texture and be clumpy. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using BariatricPal mobile app
