Hi I am day 3 after my surgery and anytime I drink an ounce of anything. I get all these gas bubbles in my stomach. Has anyone else had that? Leslie9595

My surgery is on 12-30 I have had all these appointments that required me to miss a lot of work these last few weeks and I work in a call center of about 100 people and within that call center I am on a small email specialty team of 10 and needless to say everyone is nosey. I did let my boss know and one other person that I trusted on my team, but for the the rest of the team I work with I told them I am getting a Hernia repaired. It is the truth but just not the whole truth. So I feel your pain, do what you feel comfortable with. The people I work with are not supportive just from what I saw from how they reacted when other employees in the call center had the surgery. Of course eventually they will figure it out, but I feel my nerves are on edge already I don't need extra negitive opinions on how I should just eat less and do it on my own. Leslie9595

I know how waiting can be a pain. I wanted to share information that might help. Check with you insurance company to see if they have a registered nurse Health Advocate its a personal health team, my insurance has it and the advocate I was assigned was able to get my pre-auth done in a week , normally it should have taken anywhere from 3 to 4 weeks. Then as soon as I found out mine went through in stead of waiting my insurance company to transmitted the information over to my dr office i was calling to alert them it was process. To get the ball rolling quicker, That's how impatient I am lol, I hope this helps. Good luck! Leslie9595

I would say call and ask your doctor. They would know best. Are you on the Optifast for pre surgery? Leslie9595 Sorry I didnt see that you stated that your in pre surgery. But I went to optifast nutrition class this past Monday and the nutritionist said that the main reason for the optifast is to shrink your liver, since your liver sits on top of your stomach, and by skrinking the liver it will be less of a chance of the liver being nicked during surgery. Now with that being said I would still consult with the doc. We are all humans here and we are goin to fall and make mistakes but it how you get up and how you learn and grow from that mistake is what really matters. I am goin through the same thing. Only a few select people know what is goin on . I tried to talk to the some of the people I work with and I got the same reply you did " you just need will power and your not that big" my response was if I could do on my own, don't you think I would have done it by now? I am also 40 and I am tried of hurting and not living life. I am so glad that I saw your message, thank you for sharing. Leslie9595
