I have lost NO WEIGHT for a month. I don't understand it at all I am only getting about 1000 calories a day...I should be dropping some weight. I have been the same weight for such a long time, I am very discouraged, I have Heart Burn every night and sometimes I get reflux when I am sleeping, if I could drop the reflux and heart burn and loose the weight I will be SOOO happy!:thumbup:

I am down 8 lbs now.....:smile: I have 47 to go! My goal is to get there by July 1st...I bought some ensure this morning, and I had one, they are pretty good and you get your vitamins and stuff. So, I need to start eating more fish for protein. I love Beer Battered Haddock or Talapia, YUMM! Anyhow, have a great night all!

Thanks guys, I am 2 weeks out and I have lost 7 lbs...Not bad at all! So I have a good one...thanks for all your support...you all make it easier to go through this change we are all going through.

Well all, I finally got a good fill yesterday. I was at 1.7 cc and I went to 2.2cc...I have lost one pound already and I am on a full liquid diet. I had Soup last night and apple juice and chocolate milk. So, I am excited, the scales are moving in the right direction.

Hey all, I have been Banded for 3 years It was done by Dr. Morand in Augusta, Maine. I went from 297 lbs. to 175 was my lowest in July and in July I had a small emergency. I was dumping protein and I had to have a ful unfill and I went up to 220 in 6 months. I am going back to the Dr's on Friday to figure out why the past 2 fills have not worked. I'm not sure whats going on, when I had my unfill I was at 2cc in a 4cc band and now I am at 1.75cc and I think they are gonna have to do an x-ray to check out if it is in a good spot! I hope nothing is wrong cause my old insurance runs out on the 31st and I will have Aetna on April 1st...I hope they can get me a good fill before that happens. I would hate to have them have to struggle to get anything covered. Jennifer

Hey all, sorry I have not been online lately, we lost our computer to a virus, Just an update, I am down 6.5 lbs since the 14th of this month. I did not disapere and should have a computer by Saturday or Monday at the latest. Happy Loosing to you all!

Thats awesome Grace...You are beyond goal. I have been taking it easy, I made Tuna Mush for lunch and I am having more soup for supper. Ohh I had a protein shake for lunch it was awesome, lite ice cream, protein powder and 2% milk.

Just thought I would give you all an update, I am one day out from my fill and I lost one lb..not bad huh? So, I had Tomato Soup last night and I had Apple Juice last night to. And lowfat chocolate milk. This morning I have had Apple Juice, and I am making a protein powder shake in a couple hours. Then I will make more soup for tonight. Just thought I would update you all!

hey all! I got my fill today, Dr. Trieu thought my son Chris was huge, he kinda is, he is 5'7" tall and in a mens 12 shoe and he is only 12 years old. Anyhow I went from 1.5 to 2.2cc, hopefully it will stay the way it feels right now. I could feel the differance immediatly. So, I sipped a lowfat chocolate milk on the way home and now i am eating thin tomato soup with 2 small crackers in it that are now mush! I am being good I had a farewell to my soda and from now on if I want caffine it will be iced coffee with sweet and low. So, I am doing well...have a nice night all!

That is awesome....I like Dr. Trieu, he is so nice, he said my port is easy to find and fill, I hope he'll fill another cc at least tomorrow. He is just so posative all the time...anyhow, congrats, pray for my fill to work and I'll pray for you on Monday! :smile2:

You know what, Have a dang brownie, a small piece of something you crave is fine, cause if you do not you'll end up having a big piece of something worse cause you crave the sugar, so you know what I say have a 2" x 2" brownie, you still have the hormonal cravings, I crave Chocolate soo much more since my band when it comes to that time of the month, I give in by having a bowl of Chocolate Frozen Yogurt, it is an indulgence but we have to have sweet things once in a while. In fact I try to have a smoothie or Chocolate shake done with Low Fat Yogurt and fresh/frozen fruit and Chocolate frozen yogurt, and add protein powder. So, have a good day and realize that because you have a 100 calorie snack 2 times a month does not mean that you have failed or screwed up your band or this plan with the band. We are all human....:grouphug:

I go for my fill tomorrow and I will not be drinking soda after today! SO, I have been addicted to soda since I was 15 and it is Diet Pepsi! I told my hubby that I will switch to Iced coffee with Sweet and low, as long as I get a little bit of caffine I will be fine....so my fill is @ 3:30 tomorrow. I can't wait to feel restricted again. Have a great day all. I have been in Pepsi hell for 19 years time to kick the habit! :grouphug:

Ok All, here is my situation, I am an old time bandster, I had mine done on September 23rd 2004 and I was successful until July of 07, I went to my primary doctor and he said I was loosing muscle mass and to get my band emptied and start eating alot of protein. So, I did and I could eat anything cause I had no restriction, well in December I went back after my Dr cleared me to get a fill. I got one and It did not feel like anything happened. NO Restriction at all, I have a 4cc band and he put 1cc in and I went back 3 weeks later and he put another .75cc and NOTHING. I have another appt on Friday and I am going to see if I can get a Berium Swallow to see what is up! I hope my band does not have a hole in it, but that is what I a thinking, I think I have a slow leak in my band. Thank God it's only water. WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK!? Jennifer:crying:

I am gonna order me a bikini this summer...I promised my daughter that I would work my butt off at the gym(Planet fitness) to get into bikin shape by July! I know 55 lbs is alot to loose in 4 months but I can do it and still keep my vitamins and protein in me with my protein smoothies and tuna mush! LOL My tuna mush is white tuna whizzed in a food processor and add Mayo and a little onion and it is SOOO GOOD! Plus drink a TON of Water...I work out 1 hour a day but gonna step it up to two hours:thumbup:

Ok here is what works for me.. Soup of course....ruby tuesdays Brocolli and Cheese Smoothies at Dunkin Donuts McDonalds the yogurt parfait any kind of fish, like haddock or cod, it flakes more and is easier to get down and it stays down if you take it slow, plus you can reheat it....:drool:

It is 6 weeks, it takes that long to get the band site healed. But it goes by quick....That first fill is more like a base to fill on later. I have to go back and get a new fill on Friday...It does not hurt at all...

I hear ya, my husband supported me, but he like me being a little bit bigger. I have bigger breasts being bigger and I don't mind them but thats not gonna be a reason for me to be unhealthy. I am doing this for me, keep that in mind, you are doing this for you and not him, he is just the lucky one you choose to be with and take this journey with.:drool:

Welcome JCLang...Georgetown is close to me! Is Dr. Wolfe with Augusta?? keep in mind that it is gonna take your mind and stomach a while to connect on what you can and cannot eat. What I mean is you will find that some things bother you, I could not eat ant bread, but my mind is saying , go ahead and make 2 sandwiches and you do and take 2 bites and throw up...so it will take months for that to happen, but you will figure out what you can and cannot eat!

I have one.... strawberry banana smoothie... 1/2 cup Non fat yogurt 1/4 cup frozen stawberries 1/2 sliced banana 1/4-1/2 cup skim milk(for thicker or thinner) 1 scoop vanilla Protein powder. This has about 150 calories, but MAN is it yummy! Try it all!:drool:

Will do Galina....I cannot wait to be drinking my smoothies again...I pick and freeze tons of Rasberries and also Strawberries, Blueberries, and then I have a juicer to make Orange Pineapple Juics and I add my yogurt and some protein powder and make a Orange Pineapple smoothie or a berry smoothie, and let me tell you they are refreshing and let you get a few hundred calories in when otherwise you wouldn't get much! And when you are on a liquid diet, you look forward to your smoothie during the day!....I need to buy a Jack Lelane Juicer though cause the one my Mom got me is gonna die on me soon. Just an idea for extra protein...why spend $4.00 at Dunkin Donuts for a smoothie, make it at home for $1.50....Have a good afternoon.

Sarah, well I have had alot of experience incuding them filling me once too much, I ended up loosing 9.5 lbs in 2 days,that was dangerous though I was soo dehydrated, I couldn't even hold down water. Ummm...the needles for the fills do not hurt at all! Less then a pinch from a shot. They do look scary though. So I am hoping to get a tight band now....It is bothering me gaining weight again. I got down to a sz. 12 jeans and now I am in 18's again...but I kept my skinny clothes knowing I will be in them soon.

GaLina, where are you from in Maine....I am on the midcoast near the Navy Base...thanks for your words of encouragmet. I hope they figure this out...I will keep in touch, it is a good decision to get this done, I firmly believe that. I had Dr. Morand and he recently left the practice. So now I have Dr. Trieu. I will let you know whats up on Friday!

My favorite meals-Couldn't pick just one- Home made macaroni and cheese with Bacon, with chocolate cheesecake for desert, and a Pepsi! 2nd--7 layer Lazagna...with TONS of cheese and Garlic Bread and a glass of Sangria... Both have more calories and fat then I care to talk about But one good thing about the band is I can get Seafood really fresh cause I am in Maine and my husband has a cousin with a Lobster Boat so I can get my Lobster at like $3.00 lb and if I chew for a little bit I can get it to stay down. So I enjoy my Haddock Protein and my Lobster...shrimp...and scallop protein now! the only fat I injest is the butter you dip it in!

It is totally doable. I was not working whan I had mine done and I was back on my feet cleaning my house in 3-4 days. So, if you do not have to lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk for a few weeks you are all set. Get it done, I thank God I did...
