Hi! I always check for bariatric dating sites and /or just meet up groups here in Michigan and I am not really having any luck. I would love to get a group of people together who have all experienced this journey whether its pre op or post op. Let me know if you guys have any ideas!!

Best decision ever. Had some complications like nausea and constipation for about 4 months but feeling much better. Left pic was 1 month post op right pic was taken today 10 months post op. Start weight 388 todays weight 259 Keep positive everyone and have faith in yourself. Dont compare yourself to others weight loss. U can do this! Surgery date Dec 2016. I was around 388 to 392 lbs depending on fluids. I am now 242 yay! Size 26 and now I can fit into size 16! I hope everyone is well and stays positive. My only advice is to not consume yourself with your surgery and results. Just take it day by day and trust me you will probably have stalls and your hair may thin and you may feel like crap but its just temporary! Sent from my SM-G920P using BariatricPal mobile app

I agree with Danny Pauls post..almost like I am reading my experience. I woke up extremely thirsty from the tube that was in my throat. I was up walking 2 or 3 hours after surgery from my bed to bathroom. The pain was there but not unbearable..the most pain throughout the weeks after was my biggest incision but heating pads and rest helped. Popsicles were a saving grace for dry mouth and liquid intake. I couldnt drink much of anything...fast forward 15 months and I am able to eat and drink whatever i want besides tuna lol..it now makes me gag. I get full but not like before surgery. If I over eat something my nose runs and depending on what it is I salivate more and sometimes hiccup. I am about 15 months post op and can eat about 4 oz of meat...its weird though because one day I can only eat about half of hamburger and other days i can almost finish it. I lost hair when I was about 5 months post op. It would come out on my brush and shower. I tried biotin and Rogaine for women. It didn't seem to make much difference. The hair loss lasted about 3 months. Everyone is different but not much u can do to completely stop the shedding besides wait it out. Sent from my SM-G920P using BariatricPal mobile app

I had surgery at 830 pm due to an emergency my surgeon had before me. I remember going into the operating room and being strapped to the board table thingy lol then i was out like a light..oh i remember loud rock music being played in the OR lol. I woke up being extremely groggy and dry mouth!!! I was wheeled into my room and was up within a few hours asking to use the bathroom not a bed pan. It was a lot of pain but bearable. Mostly when I went from sitting or laying to standing. I was up and walking making laps around the hospital unit I was in around 10 am the night after surgery because I was determined to go home! I had surgery dec 6 2016 at 830 pm and was out of the hospital dec 7 around 3 pm. Everyone heals different and has different pain tolerance. My issue was nausea and i am over a year post op and still have little nausea in the morning. My only advice is keep your head up, there will be good and bad days but no regrets!!! After a huge stall I got a sinus infection and bronchitis and lost 6 lbs! I am curious how everyone is doing on their journey. Please post before and after pics, it doesn't matter what stage you are in. My start weight before pre op 392, day of surgery 388 and today 249. My goal is under 200. Blessings! To be honest no I do splurge on stuff like ice cream or mcdonalds frappechinos lol. Ahhh spell check! I am still only able to eat in small amounts but its weird everyday is different.
