7 Weeks Post Op and Stalled!

You usually slow down a bit at about the 6-7 week mark. Try adding more calories to your diet, you may not be getting enough. You should be around 900 a day.

    Popsicles

The only thing that would have happened is it could have made you sick. As long as you didn't get sick you will be fine, just make sure you get sugar free from now on.

    Help! Office Potluck!

Yeah I forgot about that! I’m 8 months out and still have problems with raw veggies!
  4. I have issues with dumping if I have too much sugar. I get it if I try to eat peanut butter. I get extremely nauseous, cold sweats, usually my head will spin, and I can even get diarrhea afterwards. It’s an awful feeling and if you get it, you will know and not want to do it again, and beg God for sweet sweet death. Sometimes it lasts 10-15 minutes but the longest it lasted for me was an hour.

    First soft food

Take it slow, mashed potatoes, refried beans, hard boiled eggs, string cheese. I’m a vegan so I had refried beans, mashed potatoes, vegan cheese, yogurt, etc.

Do something that everyone would like, maybe dip and veggies, green bean casserole, fruit tray.

    Surgery didn’t work?

Everyone is different and everyone loses weight at different speeds. It sounds to me tho like you aren’t eating nearly enough, especially if you are working out. You are burning through many more calories than you are ingesting and you need to up your caloric intake before your body goes into complete starvation mode and you begin to gain weight. Also, you need to be speaking to your nutritionist and they can help you make sure you are getting the correct amount of protein for your activities.

    Surgery date set

My husband just said the same thing, don't let anyone discourage you because this is your journey and the surgery is for you not them!!

    Surgery date set

My best friends family was against her having it done too! I'm lucky that my husband had it done and my whole family is behind me 100%. Prayers for you.

    Need advice: Protein drinks

I'm a vegan and I like the Svelte shakes from Walmart, they are down the aisle with the ready to drink tea and bottled water. They would probably be easier on your stomach than the whey protein. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. You may want to try to do a sleeve cleanse. Do some research on it and try that before going back under the knife. Age plays a BIG factor in weight gain, try and stay away from those empty calories and high carb foods. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
