Iron-Deficiency Anemia Post Surgery

I know this is old, but did the infusions work for you? I am severely anemic and I have been taking iron regularly, but my levels are WORSE now than they were before I started the iron. I see my surgeon tomorrow, but I was curious if the infusions helped and if there were any side effects? Thanks in advance! -

Oh, how I wish this was true. A pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat; they are both a pound. Yes, muscle is more dense than fat, which means you can have less body mass in muscle and weigh more, but a pound is a pound is a pound no matter if it is muscle or fat. -
I can attest to the nerves! I have insurance approval so I am just waiting for my pre-op appointment with my surgeon and I start my liquid diet the same day. Everything else is complete and now I just have to wait. Waiting is nerve-wracking!

Only thing left is some lab work at the hospital, my pre-op apt, and my pre-op liquid diet. I feel like I've been doing this process for ages!
