6 weeks postoperative
babytaz1080 replied to babytaz1080's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Indeed once I got moving at the gym, I don't mind it as much. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App -
I have to say the first few weeks where very challenging. I ate times wonder why I did this and yet I sit here today 40 pounds down and it's been 9 weeks since I have had to take my diabetes medicine. I don't enjoy the gym but I am determined to go. I've pushed myself to work out 6 days a week for an hour. I am still trying to see what I can and cannot eat. It's an long process and I'm finally glad I did it. It's been 4 weeks since my surgery and I am finally beginning to get the hang of things. Started the gym last week and even though it's a slow process it felt great to walk on the treadmill. I am down 37 pounds since surgery and it feels great. Im hoping not to catch this stomach bug that's been going around. It's already entered my home just trying to keep far away from my family. Other than that feeling great with my progress. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

I have come to learn so much about myself during this process. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since my surgery and even though there have been times that I've wondered what in the world did I just do. I remember that it's been 3 weeks that I have not taken any diabetic medicine and that alone makes it worth while. Tomorrow I embark in a new challenge I will be starting the gym. Part of me is excited but part of me is extremely nervous. I don't want to fail at this as I have failed so many times before. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

I have come to realize that food for many people including myself has become an addiction. This is something that many don't take seriously. Just like any other addiction, there will be moments of wanting to relapse and just give into the need to fulfill the emptiness. I have doubted myself over having this operation. Food was always my comfort in the happy moments and the sad. My mind has to learn how to function in this new life that I have chosen to live. It may not be an easy journey but it's the healthy way. Many of us will struggle and the too is ok, but I truly believe that we all choose this journey to be healthy and we can and will overcome it. I'm nervous, excited, and scared, but ready for a new beginning. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

I had my surgery on 11-28, and I am just tired of the liquid diet. I only have 3 more days to go until I can puree food and I am finding that these are the hardest 3 days. Ugh Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
