Hi everyone, reporting from the hospital here. Had the surgery Wed 2-15 and expected to go home today (Friday). Everything looked good except an elevated heart rate, so they did a CAT scan. They found that the lower part of the intestines is slightly inflamed, so they have me on "gut rest" for 24 hours and then reassess. Has anyone had something similar? I'm trying not to catastrophize but right now I'm regretting having done this. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My first of pre-op diet

I'm right there with you! We can do it! I'm on the 2 week pre-op liquid diet -- 4 protein shakes a day, as well as broth or sugar free jello. It was terrible the first day but I feel like I'm on a roll now. Almost one week down! -
