Everybody goes through seasons....Yall season might be up....Love is kind!..Don't sacrifice your true happiness & sanctity. We give so much of ourselves. It's time for you to shine, don't let him dull you down!. #KeepYourHeadUp!
  2. I packed all that stuff and only used the phone charger. So, don't overdue it. Trust me, the discomfort and trying to find relief will be your only concern. It will get better everyday after your surgery.
  3. Yes, I think because I made it through the surgery....I don't focus on the "actual" surgery that I had. It's a serious surgery and I've been poked, chopped, & stitched...I should look how I actually feel...."like ****"[emoji23] but, I will never feel that bad...I will remain cute...even in pain!..
  4. I'm back at work 40+ hours a week..."physical labor" and all I can do is rest when I get home. I don't want to go anywhere but home after a long day. I'm not eating enough , not drinking enough fluids to go hanging with my girls. They don't understand...and I could care less it's the weekend. I know it will be at least another month before I feel like ME!... How are you new sleevers feeling at work or after work? Are you exhausted?

    Eating too much too fast

I eat "mushy/ pureed food" once a day...and drink a Premier Protein shake and try to get my fluids in with sugar free popsicles, lemonade & water. My taste buds have changed since surgery. There is not alot of room in this new stomach. I'd rather drink a protein shake than feel nauseous from eating something that doesn't agree with me. I know my appetite will improve but until then....Im watching what I eat.

    Eating too much too fast

I listen to my stomach and it slows me right down. I had sleeve surgery a little over 2 weeks ago. I'm in the mushy/pureed "food" stage. After a few spoonfuls of whatever I choose, I start to get a tad bit nauseous and I push the plate away and Will Not eat anything else and that feeling goes away after 30 minutes. I don't want to vomit or add to my discomfort...so, I just stop, drop, and roll[emoji16]...I know when enough is enough right now!
  7. I'm 16 days post op and I decided to get sleeved because of my health issues. I thought I was healthy because I "felt" great. However, inside my body was taking all the stressors in life and started to show me that everything was not "great". I'm not on the "happy" side of surgery yet because of my discomforts from surgery. I am healing and the pain is subsiding and since the first day I started my journey at the weight loss clinic at 285 pounds....With the pre op dieting, protein shakes, clear liquids and surgery I'm 255 pounds today. I'm excited about that!....Before summer is over, I should be 50 pounds lighter...I can't wait!....Dont wait until your my age to do something about your weight....If you can, Do it!..Live life with no regrets!..

    Coumadin

I'm on coumadin as well...since 2010. It had no effects on my weight. After sleeve surgery 3/16/17, I was sent home with Lovonox injection (2 times daily) to prevent clotting. Last injection is tonight...Thank God for that!..now I can focus solely on this weight loss journey.....9 pounds down since surgery.

    Who's having surgery in march

I'm 11 days out....barely can get a premier protein shake down...water is hard for me as well. The pain is subsiding but, sugar free popsicles, sugar free fudge sicles, & applesauce have turned out to be my friends. It only takes a few sips of anything and I'm full. I will consider taking meds & vitamins when I can finally get a pureed meal in...on a empty stomach, it would be a disaster for me. Hang in there...I swear every day gets better!

    Yucky Days

I'm 9 days post op as well. I'm having a hard time getting those fluids in. I've been giving 2 liters of I.V. fluids since surgery...ehich really helped with fatigue. The B12 & B1 shots helped with my energy. I don't feel 100%...more like 40%....BE CAREFUL with feeling light headed maybe a sign of dehydration. Along with sleeve surgery, I had hiatal hernia repair & scar tissue removal...so, this could be the source of my added soreness. I think we have a few more "yucky" days ahead of us.....I can't wait to feel like myself again. I hope you feel better soon...We're gonna be looking beautiful when all this passes....but, damn it's not an easy road to travel!

    Sleeved on 3/13

I was sleeved pn 3/16. I had trouble getting my liquids in. I just have no desire to swallow drinks right now. 6 days out of surgery I went to the weight control center to have 2 bags of I.V. injected in me and 1-B12 shot and a B1 shot. It sure helped with the weakness and the I.V. helped with my dehydration. I'm working on getting in protein and more liquids the rest of the week. I was weighed at the center and actually gained 1 pound since surgery. Am I discouraged? No, my body is in shock and so am I. It will get better..I'm sure of it!
  12. Well...believe it! I never said it was my main concern...just a small formality I had questions about the hospital guidelines. This post was really directed as a comical moment during stressful times to pre-op women who pamper themselves. I'm not that superficial! As a matter of fact, I ran out of time the night before surgery AND left the polish on. No complaints. Surgery went well. I'm on my way to a much thinner me and I can't wait! Relax & get a mani/pedi...Girl, it's gonna be alright!

    Heyy!

Heyy...I was sleeved on the 16th...trying to get my liquids in but it's almost impossible. Condensed soups, protein shakes, & sugar free fudge pops are pretty much my diet. I don't have the desire to eat...yet!
