Hi. Starting day 3 liquid diet. I am allowed 4 weightwatcher Soups, 4 mullerlight yogurts, pint of milk, tea, coffee, sugar free squash and Water. So far so good. Am keeping busy when cravings set in. Yesterday helped my daughter totally blitz wardrobe. She was happy as was lot of blitzing and now looks so neat. I was happy as kept me out of kitchen. Surgery 10th feb. Just had my 1st pureed stage food. Had some ready brek. Didnt think I would ever feel full and was worrying that it would'nt work for me but I am over the moon that after a few spoons I actually felt full lol. Feeling full, satisfied and very happy. Mandi xx

Omg...sleeved on 10th feb. Been ok. Coping with the full fluids but had no bowel movements since before surgery. Woke up feeling sluggish and not good at all so hubby went to pharmacy and got me a wonderful liquid called Lactulose and FINALLY HOUSTON WE HAVE MOVEMENT!! but boy did it hurt. Sorry for tmi but am happy and needed to share lol. Mandi xx

Been on 2 week liver shrink diet and surgery scheduled for tomorrow until get a phone call an hour ago...surgery cancelled due to unit having cases of norovirus. Soooo gutted. Actually cried. Not sure when new date will be. On the bright side at least I hadnt had surgery and then gotten ill. Told re my diet can relax and have healthy options until new date and hopefully have enough time to resume liver shrink diet. Mandi xx

Day 8 post op. Am doing well but today I have been snapping at everyone. Not hungry but want to taste food and devour everything. Hubby is making egg fried rice with prawns and some lovely fish on side for him and my son and I feel so angry that I cant have it. I am having a lovely glass of milk which I love but today I just want food in my mouth. My daughter is out to dinner and when I asked her where she is going she said she is actually scared to tell me lol. Hopefully tomorrow I wake up in better mood Mandi xx

Hi. I am day 7 post op and the full liquid diet has not been hard for me. I am trying to listen to what my body is telling me but to tell you the truth I have no idea anymore lol. All feel rumblings but not sure if hunger or just tummy settling down after such trauma. Dont think its hunger as pre sleeve me would eat anything and everything but so far only been having fluids and doing fine. Have been cooking meals for family as usual and not even tempted so that is a plus. Even made cookies with my son last night and he ate them in front of me and although the smell was lovely, i wasnt even tempted. Maybe because of not hungry or fear of doing harm to tummy as its still healing. If that helps x Mandi xx

I did. I hate needles but the nurse showed me how to do it and let me do it whilst she watched and its not as bad as i thought it was going to be. Had 5 days worth and have last shot tomorrow. You can do it x Mandi xx

Surgery happened on friday jennyu. Was so glad. Am now day 6 post op. The pain was as to be expected but the meds helped that. Stayed 2 nights in hopsital in end due to raised white blood cell count and blood pressure went through roof. Am doing ok. Only really feels sore on couple of incisions when stand or sit. So glad i did it. Am really positive about the future now x

Had phone call from hopsital, so far its going ahead but tomorrow it could still be cancelled but i can turn up and hope for the best. Am getting emotionally exhausted. Just want it over and done with so i can start living. Fingers crossed its not cancelled. Mandi xx

New date is for this friday. Eeek so nervous now. Chance it could be cancelled again but if i dont hear from them by 5pm tomorrow then its going ahead. Hope my liver has shrunk enough. Mandi xx

Thank you all for the support. Was down today as thinking it would be done by now but out of my hands and now just a waiting game again and having fingers crossed everytime phone rings. Will resume my liquid diet tomorrow and wake up in more positive mood after all a better healthier life is just around the corner and it starts now. Xx Mandi xx

Hi gryffen. back lol. Yeah thats what I have decided to do. Am looking forward to some homecooked chicken breast tomorrow and then back on diet. Am quite enjoying the soups. Have amazed myself and my family how well I did. Now just cant wait for it to be done. I really did cry when i got off phone to hospital though. My husband and kids were amazingly supportive. They understood how much it means and how long it has taken to get this far. Oh well a few more days or week hopefully and my liver will have surely shrunk. Xxxxx Mandi xx

Thank you all for the words of encouragement. My pre op diet is 4 weightwatcher Soups. 4 mullerlight yogurts daily. I am in Uk. Am going to do lean meat and veg for weekend and then resume the diet in case they call with new date. Xx Mandi xx

Glad you had a good day. Am starting to crave something to bite...toast or biscuit but have'nt cracked yet. The end is in sight so don't want to risk it. Really can't believe this time next week will be at the hospital. Just need to get through the weekend which is when I would usually have treats. Fingers crossed. Good luck with your hotel break.
