Your bites may be too large and you may not be chewing your food good enough. My surgeons office recommends dime size bites and chewing until food is applesauce consistency.

January Sleevers Check-In

Since you do so much cardio, you need more water. Upwards of 80+ ounces. -

Feeling hungry all the time
VSG_PurpleButterfly replied to c86mc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
With a sleeve try drinking more water daily. That's tends to help me stay feeling full....along with dense proteins in multiple small meals -
I can't take Vitamins in pill form, even cut in smaller pieces. I now use Bariatric Pal Vitamin patch. I wear one at night while sleeping

Checking in tomorrow and starting to get really scared
VSG_PurpleButterfly replied to vsg2266's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You'll be fine. I was sleeved Jan 18th and my anxiety was so bad, I was nauseous for a week before surgery. I prayed in pre-op and went into surgery (still full of anxiety lol). My surgery went well, no complications and down 44 lbs. No more anxiety, just happy I did this for myself. You'll be fine tomorrow. Sending positive vibes your way. -
They have 30 Days, but I got my approval in exactly two weeks.

Gaining weight pre op
VSG_PurpleButterfly replied to jnj701's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My insurance or Surgeon didn't really stress weight loss during the 6 month time frame. A couple of months the scale showed a 1-3 lb increase, but as long as it wasn't more than that, they were okay. It can also be Water weight, so I don't see them being that strict unless it's written in docs from your insurance company Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920AZ using the BariatricPal App -

I'm going thru the same thing at three days post. I heard it gets better by wk 3. The stomach has been cut, I would assume the spasm/cramp are very normal. Good luck, things will get better Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920AZ using the BariatricPal App -

Weightloss Agents - BEWARE!
VSG_PurpleButterfly replied to Cherlyn Robinson's topic in Gastric Balloon Forum
I hate that this happened to you all. Unfortunately, that's a risk you take when getting surgery done outside of the states. The cost may have been great, but look at all the hiccups that occurred prior to even getting surgery. Maybe try and find a Dr here in the states to help her post Surgery for follow ups etc. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920AZ using the BariatricPal App -
