Saw this in a fb post and thought it was hilarious. I've lost a newborn calf. Lol. Happy Monday!
-
Personally I would not buy this for the sheer fact that ingredients have white rice and sugar.

Never Ending Comments About my Body
tani replied to Kat410's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
The best worst comment I got was when a coworker asked how much I've lost and I was happy to tell because I was excited about it and the response was "wow, you lost a 5th grader". My boss heard and now she makes comments about the 5th grader comment, dragging it out, so I'm always hearing it...smh...really?!? People just don't think before they speak. -

I'm hiding my surgery from family anyone else ?
tani replied to mzsantiago88's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did not tell anyone until about a month after surgery. I wanted to wait until I had my 1 month post op check up. -
I think it depends on where someone carries the weight on their body and their height. I went from 289 wearing almost 24/26 to 209 wearing 16/18 and I'm 5' 5 1/2.

Week 4 Post Op Dining Out Success..I think !
tani replied to VooLivre2017's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My daughter's bday party was almost 4 weeks after sugery at a bowling alley. Talk about junk food. So I asked my nut what would be good to have and she said the pizza toppings as long as I don't go over the 1oz portions of protein I was allowed. Since I was already able to have cheese this was a little treat but I haven't had it since. And I took a protein drink with me just in case. -
Can't seem to get 60 ounces in a day
tani replied to Lovelyladybee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
At my 4 week post op appointment my nut said that my protein drinks were considered part of my fluid intake count, because I was really worried I wasn't getting enough either. I felt so much better after what she said. -
I'm not a smoker so I never had to do this test but I found this article that might help you understand the reasons/benefits of quiting before surgery and after. https://obesitycontrolcenter.com/blog/2014/08/20/smoking-bariatric-surgery-can-i/ As far as starting again...I can't help you there. Sorry. Good luck.

Very weak after gym workout

I was told to drink some protein after working out. -
terrible skin dryness....
tani replied to jerz_gurl15's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Yep...I experienced that. It sucked! I ended up using the lotion from the hospital they sent me home with (more like oily vaseline and hated how greasy my hands felt) but it seemed to work. I also increased my fluid intake. -
Some nice thick slipper socks. Hospitals are cold so those would help with that and also prevent you from slipping when they have you walk. Those hospital socks suck. (imo) I also brought a robe and wore over my hospital gown when walking. Luckily the IV is long enough for your sleeves and won't cause issues (for me anyway).

OK so I don't have to worry about fluid intake before or after? Sent from my Y538 using the BariatricPal App I was instructed to drink my Protein shake 30 minutes after a meal or 30 minutes before a meal. But I can't even do that because I get full, so I always wait at least an hour before or after a meal to drink my protein

I did not weigh myself until my 4 week post op appt, which I'm glad because I see several posts saying they had these stalls but I never saw it in my weight. I think it helped my mental and emotional state not knowing there was a stall. By the time I had my appt, my weight showed a 25 lb loss.

My nut and surgeon both said it's considered a fluid.

My husband made me pureed chicken lunch meat from the deli with mayo and mustard and it tasted like a sandwich.
