Does the attention bother you?
Dshell replied to TakingABreak's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Well said 😜 -
Do what I'm comfortable with or do as surgeon says?
Dshell replied to Unsure133's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did sleeve, same problems. I had options of all three but was not comfortable with having my guts rearranged. Doc gave me the choice. Have lost 150 # in 18 months and all weight issues are now gone. You are correct when thinking doc knows best but what are you comfortable with? Your body your choice. Can recommend you research all options. I did and chose accordingly. Good luck! -

No, was a guy. A girl saying it would not have bothered me. -

Sometimes it makes me very uncomfortable. This morning I got "nice jeans". What is that suppose to mean???? -
Could be you are just thirsty. Try sipping water when it happens. Could also be acid reflux. Good luck!

I lost a lot of hair, but since I have seriously thick hair I didn’t worry. It is growing back in now. A friend of mine was not so lucky but hers is growing back nicely too

I can go to the movies and be comfortable!!!!

I have a low fat single serving of cottage cheese. 19 grams of protein 6 grams sugar. Just read the labels before buying.

Unjury unflavored worked well for me. Very easy to use.

Staying accountable and emotional eating
Dshell replied to SydneySleever's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am a boredom eater. I still fight it but it’s not so hard anymore. Every time I think I want to eat ( and I know I don’t) I get busy. 18 months post op it’s up to me to control. Luckily I am never hungry so I follow a schedule for eating and drink water in between. This has worked well so far. I am also chained to a desk 5 days a week 😖. I have heard over eaters anonymous really helps. Good luck! -
Does anyone regret getting the sleeve?
Dshell replied to Kadidy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Best decision I have ever made! Yes it was difficult the first couple of months but it gets better. Almost 18 months post op and have lost half my body weight. Feel great, no more meds and energy thru the roof. Hang in and keep up the good work! -

Dshell replied to Nikki46vsgjourney's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Stay off that scale!!!! 17#'s in two weeks! You rock!!!! -
You are doing great! Do not listen to these people. My problem is hearing "I know someone that had that surgery, they regained all the weight". Makes me want to say STFU! Last thing any of us need is to be compaired with other people. Keep up the good work!

Have a Medic Alert bracelet that says No blind NG tube and No NSAIDS. Was recommended by my surgeon. -
How slow are you eating?
Dshell replied to SkinnyPenny's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I chew every bite 30 times (I count). The slower I eat the better I feel after. I don't care if everyone else finishes first. If I eat too fast I feel terrible for about and hour after. -
Not eating enough?
Dshell replied to shelleys goal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How do you feel? Trust your surgeon and NUT. Try to drink more water, one sip every ten minutes. I had the worst time drinking water for the first 8 months after surgery. Had to force myself all day long. -
Have to agree with fiber being the best to help with constipation!
