Last Supper
Crafty Li'l Devil replied to Crafty Li'l Devil's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't have to be on strictly liquid diet until the day before my surgery. I've had all sorts of delicious things and still lost 34 lbs in 4 weeks and still have a week to go before my surgery is set. I know I will still have delicious things after. I don't want to go overboard with a last supper but I do want to have my goodbyes. I'm from New Orleans and my last supper will include King cake. Just not sure what else. Ladies, what do you consider your ideal dress size ?

I'm starting out at a 32, I'd be very happy to be a 16/18 Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App Then again I've always been larger. So I guess it doesn't bother me as much as it does some folks Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App -
Last Supper

I wouldn't have it the day before. It would be 2 days before so I'd be able to do preop. One meal isn't going to stretch my stomach drastically Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App -

Y'all, today I finished the online teaching module, recently I did the psychiatric evaluation, all of my blood work and upper gi xray results were sent to my surgeon, my medical clearance from my pcp was sent. I've lost 35lbs in 4 weeks (of the 25-40 my surgeon requested) I updated my next appointment date from the 13th to the 11th and that is likely going to be the date we make the decision when the surgery is which is likely gonna be within the 2 weeks after that. I've got loose fitting clothes ready, I've got slip on shoes, I bought a bunch of lip balm and have a bunch of coconut oil to moisturize. I have 2oz freezer cups to prepare some foods ahead of time. I bought a vitamix to help with some of it. I'm starting to freak out a little but I'm so excited. By the end of this month it's likely I'm going to have my GVS. Anything else I've missed that I should have on hand?

Thanks for the reminder. I know in the long term it'll be good. I guess it just got really real for me because I have all of the paperwork etc in and I'm just waiting on a date. I want it to be here so soon. I feel like the more time I have to second guess myself it's bad, and having lost some weight on my own these past few weeks maybe I should just do it in my own, but I can't exercise like I want. And if I do this on my own it's gonna take me several years and a lot of heartache. I know this won't solve everything but I do need help to do this. When people have regrets with all the pain after, I'm afraid I won't be happy in my new skin, I'm afraid of too much saggy skin. I'm just starting to panic again and today was a good day because today I basically just need my surgeons approval on a date when I see him in a week Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App -

Why don't you get some of the unflavored Protein Powder or talk to your doc about prescriptfit shake powder in chocolate. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

Clear foods and liquids for the first two weeks

What is or was on your Clear liquids or foods list that you were allowed to eat right after surgery? I haven't gotten a list yet. I'm just trying to be prepared. Thanks. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App -

Oh you're so lucky...my Dr. has me on month of puree, then one month of soft food and then I'll feel like I've been freed from diet jail...lol..not meaning I'm just gonna eat whatever but at least I've been trained to all the sugarfree and no fat stuff...just mean I won't have to put do much thought into every single thing I eat...my hospital gave me two stainless steel 2ounce cups that have been a life saver..I've felt full on that when I do eat...good luck to us...I know I must remember to keep my eye on the prize which is my goal weight...lolDid the 2oz cups help? Is that about how much you're able to eat? Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App Yes, that's all I can eat at one setting...I'm not over full or hungry...it's hard to wait the 30 minutes to drink and most of the time I don't but I also found some protein water that's pretty good...I drink the carnation sugar free chocolate powder with fat free milk and it really taste like chocolate milk...lolThanks! I'm trying to find things that will make my life easier after surgery. I have small rocks outside of my house and I'm looking for backless sneakers cause I'm sure I won't be able to tie my shoes right after and I won't be able to walk the rocks in my slippers. I've also been told to get myself a heating pad and a riser for my toilet. Any other suggestions? Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
