I started this journey after my best friend was diagnosed with breast cancer at 35, my husbands grandfather passed, I was teach at a school where we had a school shooter, my grandfather passed and there morning we woke up after his funeral my husbands grandmother had passed all within 6 months. I have 10 nieces and nephews under the age of 10 and I had too much going for me not to get healthy. I had my first consultation in August and then surgery on January 6th. I am amazed at how well I feel, how much energy I have and that I am now training for a 5k! I have zero regrets about my decision to take back my life and learn to eat to live instead of living to eat. Hw: 342 Sw: 290 Cw: 220

Just wondering what everyone on here orders for coffee from Dunkin' Donuts? I am 5 months post op going to visit family and I hate black coffee! I get a super skinny latte with sugar free flavor from my coffee shop at home! Thanks for any advice!

I feel like we are in the same spot. I am 40 days out from bypass. I lost 70 before surgery so I am telling myself I already lost the easy weight. I am just focusing on my fluid intake and my protein tracking and how I have a giant pile of clothes to donate because they are way too big! Good luck! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

I go back to the doctor on the 24th and at that point I will switch to soft foods! I hope everyone's recovery is going smoothly! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I am less than a week out of gastric bypass surgery. Just wondering what people say when people ask what surgery you had. All my family and close friends know. Hw: 342 Sw: 291 Cw: 279 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hello! I know that everyone's recovery and process is different, but I was just wondering for people that have already had the surgery how long were you out of work? I have surgery scheduled on Friday and I am trying to plan how long I will be out! Thanks in advance for the responses! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
