Hi guys! I'm a new sleever!

Not getting in a lot of fluids will mimic hunger as well. Are you getting enough Protein? Use the flavorless protein and sprinkle it on everything, include mixing it in your water/beverages. Hope this helps. Good luck on your journey and best wishes! PS. I'm 9 months out and hunger sets in if I miss my Protein Powder. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using the BariatricPal App

    Final weigh-in

My surgeon also told me I needed to lose 12 lbs. It became hectic a week before surgery when doctor canceled for 3 weeks out. I was so mad I ate what I wanted but exercised (walk) everyday, up until the last week before surgery. And what I mean by eating what I wanted (frozen diet microwave meals). I pulled it off! I must have shocked my body because I ended up losing more than 12lbs. Definitely ask questions. I found out the only reason my doctor required the 12lb weight loss was because I had a fatty liver. He didn't want it in the way at procedure. Good luck to you and best wishes! Everything is happening the way it should. Blessings. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using the BariatricPal App
  7. I'm so sorry, I don't know enough about the lap band, I don't want to give you any wrong information. I even went online and looked it up. So many mixed conclusions. There was articles on the subject, on BariatricPal. Diet After Band Removal/Life After Lap-Band Removal. In 2007. I wish I could have helped. PS. My 1st response doesn't sound like the way I meant it. I was trying at humor. Not funny at all. I really wish you the best of luck! Keep reposting, someone will have this in common with you and reach out. I'm half a sleep, lol! Good luck and best wishes! I'll be keeping my eyes open for you in the future. 9. Your amazing! Your article is a must read for EVERYONE. I'm 9 months out. I've already started sneaking in a bite of this or that (mostly a bite of a cherry pie, those little ones frosted) at least once a week...for a reward. Haven't gained yet but, have been having a month long stall. 168 one day and 170 the next. Frustrated because just like you, I've been going through a move, holidays, stress (I have multiple sclerosis) it's so cold, below zero. I need to exercise. I mean walk. I'm doing exercises to firm, that's it. Thank you for your post. Good luck to you and best wishes! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using the BariatricPal App

    Premier Protein - Gas

Maybe your nutritionist will give you better advice. It sounds like the shakes might not be agreeing with you and you need another way to get in your Protein. I used to mix my Premier Protein with almond milk and Water. I know, it sounds yuck! But, it helped...not only with the thickness of the shake. Good luck with your appointment tomorrow and best wishes to you! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using the BariatricPal App

    Pouch Stretch

That's awesome your getting your fluids! That's been the hardest part for me, even now at 9 months out. I don't think you'll stretch your new stomach as long as you are drinking slowly. Good luck and best wishes. Your doing amazing! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using the BariatricPal App
  15. Crap! Are you going to have it ruff!! But, all is not lost. Did your doctor give you a diet to follow? What is revision surgery? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using the BariatricPal App
  16. I'm 9 months out. But, I have Multiple Sclerosis and I can relate (a little) at least with a few things. The medication your on alone can cause weight gain, it sucks but not a lost cause. I'm sure any excersises are fine. As long as you listen to your body and take it easy. Gosh! You have been through a lot! I'll keep you in my prayers. As far as a meal plan? Two years out? 600 calories? I eat a cup in a half at Breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have two Snacks in between. It goes something like this. breakfast ( lunch (L) dinner (D) snacks (S) ( oatmeal w/ walnuts and honey, a boiled egg. (S) 1/2 cup low fat yogurt. (L) A lettuce wrap with turkey, tomato, thinly sliced chili pepper. (Because I like a little spice) Low fat mayo sometimes but, mostly some mustard. (S) cheese and Almonds. (D) Homemade chicken Soup with papaya, ginger, spinach and rice. (I save the broth for 45 minutes after I eat the chicken, papaya, ginger and spinach.) ( Two cups of coffee w/creamer and almond milk. (S) Pear w / Peanut Butter. (L) (Baked) 1/2 a chicken breast, cut up in cubes, roasted eggplant. (S) Whole Wheat crackers, spinach/artichoke hummus. (D) Salmon, Quinoa, and (my salad) lol, it's a salad I eat all the time. Expecially if I'm still hungry after dinner. Or whenever I still feel like I'm starving! It consists; Fresh...Spinach, purple onions and green onions cut up, cilantro, mint leaves, pepper (thinly sliced), bean sprouts. These are a few things to eat. I hope I gave you some ideas. If I missed anything specific you wanted answers to, let me know. I'll try to help. Good luck and best wishes! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using the BariatricPal App

    Getting back on track?!

I agree with izzy13. But, I was there. I had my sleeve on March 15th, 2016 also. I remember when things started to slow down for me and I noticed the weight loss was slow or none. I shocked my body quick! I was walking 1 to 2 times three to four days a week. I stopped walking for a week, then the following week I walked 3 times 4 to 5 times that week. Same with food. I went easy peasy on my calorie intake. More Snacks like cottage cheese and bell peppers and sometimes a slice of turkey. Protein powder on EVERYTHING! even in Water, tea, coconut water (all natural). My advice is what izzy13 mentioned and to SHOCK your body. You will see a difference. Good luck and best wishes! Sodas

Soda, any carbonation hurt my stomach. Anything with a fizz. I kept trying (a little sip) now and then, it would just hurt and I found it wasn't worth it. If you find yourself craving...try shaking until the soda is flat. I did this with a bottle of 7up after I came down with the flu. HW: 280lbs Day of surgery : 256lbs In two days it will be 9 months: 170lbs. Best of luck and best wishes! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using the BariatricPal App

    Puréed food recipes!

I make a lot of children Soup with papaya or potatoes, ginger and spinach. I would puree some of this. One of my favorites is a low calorie Lasagna I would make and puree. Made with Whole Wheat Pasta, Turkey, sweet potato or kalabasa squash and a low fat spaghetti sauce. Cereal and milk. These are just a few things I did. If you would like any of the recipes let me know. It kinda gives you an idea anyway. I loved this part. Best of luck! VSG: March 15th, 2016. Highest weight: 280lbs Diet weight to shrink liver: 256lbs Day of surgery: 245lbs December 15th I'll be 9 months out. I'm 170lbs today. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using the BariatricPal App

    I love me

Hi Draya402! Congratulations on your weight loss! I had the Gastric sleeve surgery March 15th 2016. I was 245lbs on day of surgery. December 15th will be 9 months. I did good in the beginning. Walked everyday, ate right, the shakes...all that. I have multiple sclerosis and walked with a walker. After I lost 30 lbs I started slowly walking without my walker. You mentioned that you would help with any questions? I'm scared. I think I stretched my stomach a few months ago at a BBQ. I'm not sure of the amounts I'm supposed to be eating at 9 months but, I'm sure I'm eating more than what I'm supposed to be eating. I'm 170lbs. I'm 5'0. My goal weight is 145lbs. I've been stuck at 170 for a month. I live in Colorado and it's snowing and cold. I haven't been walking. (I'm sure that has a lot to do with it) I still try to make healthy food decisions. My questions are... 1) How much should I be eating? I eat a cup in a 1/2 of oatmeal with fresh walnuts and honey for Breakfast. Sometimes I'll even eat a boiled egg too. I'm just so hungry! That's pretty much my serving size on everything. 2) I'm feeling dizzy all day. I know I'm not getting in the recommended amount of fluids but, I'm peeing fine. I drink as much as I can. Can I still be dehydrated if I'm going to the bathroom all the time? Sorry for the long text. The way my phone is, I can't see what I've written before hand. It makes it harder to stay on topic. Thank you for any advice. Congratulations again on your progress! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using the BariatricPal App
