Premier Protein shakes, 3 a day, or 2 a day with a healthy dinner. 2X 15 min walks a day. Drink lots of Water. Use real fruit, freezing the fruit in ice cube trays if you want some flavor to your water. Here's an example: 8am: shake 11am: snack (turkey sandwich meat slice with tomato slices. Unflavored Protein powder sprinkled on everything you eat. Mix it in your water too to help with the hunger. It helps so much! 2pm: Shake 6pm: Dinner Example of dinner: 1/2 baked chicken breast, cup broccoli. If you find yourself still hungry before bedtime, a peach or pear or 9 Almonds are are great. Keep walking, walking. Good luck and best wishes. You got this Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using the BariatricPal App

  6. I was fortunate enough to see a dietitian. She gave me a plan to follow. Premier Protein Shake: Comes in 3 flavors. vanilla strawberry chocolate 7:am shake Water w/ fruit I froze for flavor DRINK All day... 11:am shake 3:pm Snack or shake 6:pm A Good dinner Example of snacks: 1)Cottage cheese w/turkey sandwich slice 2)Pear w/Peanut butter 3) 12-16 Almonds Dinner: 1)Baked chicken Breast, broccoli and rice. 2)Salmon, Quinoa and salad. 3)Whole Wheat Pasta spaghetti, w/turkey spinach baked meatballs. Protein unflavored powder. Sprinkle on food. Helps you stay full. Oh...I would also mix it in my water too! The reason why the doctor has you lose weight before surgery is so you're liver will decrease in size and the surgery will be easier for both of you. Good luck and best wishes! 8. Hi Rachel79uk, I'm Tinanna. I just signed in. I will be 9 months out on December 15th. I weighed 245 lbs before surgery. I had to do a 2 week diet to lose a little weight (so I could shrink my liver) doctors orders. I lost 11 lbs those 2 week's by drinking a shake for Breakfast, lunch and a good dinner. I had Snacks in between, like half of a PB&J sandwich and apple. Peanut Butter power bar. Slices of turkey lunch meat with tomatoes. Stuff like that. Walking 15 minutes once a day. I have Multiple Sclerosis and walk with a walker. Or I did. Now I'm walker free. BUT TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION: Yes, I was 245lbs when I went in for surgery. 256lbs before the diet to shrink the liver. Dr . won't do surgery if you don't. I wasn't about to go through all of this hunger and suffering just to find out the day of surgery my doctor didn't go through with the procedure because my liver was still to large. OKAY, so back to you. Yes, I am now 170. I've lost 75lbs in less than 9 months. You mentioned how scared you are. That is to be expected. I was terrified as well. With good cause! But, remember everyone has a surgery uniquely designed for them. You will lose weight. You can over eat but, you will regret it. 2 things that can happen. 1'You can overflow your new stomach and it's VERY painful. 2 ' You can get dumping syndrome. In the bathroom with diarrhea and vomiting. You want to avoid these by listening to your tummy. It will tell you when you're full. DON'T ever eat and drink at the same time. (biggest problem for me) I always drank when eating ????. Who doesn't like Cookies with milk? Yes, it's worth it. But, hard! Mentally and physically exhausting. That's why we have to go through the 6 months of counseling. As far as weight loss isn't a magic cure to happiness...is right. But, if you do have the surgery you will not just take off the weight loss, you will start to lose mental things as well. For example, friends. Thing's you used to enjoy. But, the weight loss surgery takes up all your time now. Healthcare problems as well dissappear with the weight. Your fear of some things will go away as well. As you move further along self-esteem floods you. It can't be overcome. It happens. This surgery has been a roller coaster to say the least. That's why I'm saying it's uniquely designed for you. I know your scared of all the things that "can" go wrong during/after surgery, the pain. To be honest, that's also individual basis depending on your pain level. I'm not real good with pain. And although it hurt, it wasn't the worst pain I've ever been in. Be prepared. You will end up asking yourself why did I do this? It's will change everything as you know it. But, in the long run, you will be glad you did it. My opinions of course. It's such a great feeling when you go to put on a pair of your pants and they don't fit. It's even better when you can fit your whole body into 1/2 the side of the pants (like in the commercials)???? Like I said, it's more mental then anything. Make sure you have the support of a loved one. Even if it's just one person. Good luck to you. I wish you all the best! ???? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using the BariatricPal App
