Has anyone tried vitamin patches and if so, have you used it long enough to get your levels tested? I have been using the Patch MD multivitamin patches the last few weeks and have started getting very tired and sleeping way more than usual. My vision is also a little off (nothing major but I need to use glasses to read on my tablet , which I typically had no problem reading). I have my 3-month post open this Thursday, but have not gotten any blood work yet. It could just be a coincidence, but my gut feeling is that for the last few weeks I was not getting any vitamins from the Patch. Anyone have any similar or different experiences? Fyi I have reordered my usual MD recommended vitamins and have taken separate higher dose bilingual b12 an folate. I'm also back on my usual double dose of calcium chews and liquid iron. I've just started back on the usual vitamins so it's too early to tell if that corrects my situation.

Ooops! Accidentally hit the post button. What I meant to say is that at post op 4 to 6 weeks I was told to eat 4 tablespoons (1/4) cup at each meal and to eat 3 to 4 times a day. At max at 6 weeks to 3 months I was told to eat 8 tablespoons, which is only half a cup. Not sure how far out you are, but essentially, all my meals are just a few bites and I'm told that's fine and basically will always eat like this (max 1/2 cup a meal forever).

My plate usually is the size of a saucer so bites are 3oz of chicken first, and it's cut into bite size pieces. Teaspoon or two of veggies and two teaspoons of yam will go on my plate. It's rare I finish it all. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App That seems like the correct amount. I was told that for weeks 4-6 post open out for me, I am expected to eat 3-4 times a day, but only ab

Interesting. Of all the things my doctor and nutritionists stressed, not drinking alcohol ever again, was THE most critical according to them. My clinic team is more on the side of better safe than sorry with most things (they also say no caffeinated coffee ever again), but on the point of alcohol they were very specific. They cited cases of those who had occasional drinks and felt fine but ended up back in the hospital a year later with serious stomach issues. My understanding was that alcohol was the table forever once you make the decision to get sleeved. They very specifically said no sip of champagne on New Years, no drink on birthdays, no sip ever again....literally not a single sip ever again.
