  1. Happy 39th Birthday christall!

  2. I can completely relate! I was banded last May and I have the same troubles. I have a sensitive stomack and not only slime, but often throw up...not a good habit and one I prefer my kids not to see! I haven't found my solution yet, last month I could eat anything, even bread, so I went for another fill...now I am back to the same. I don't feel I am losing very much either.

    Can you eat anything?

Okay, so I can eat everything...and if truth be known...I have doing exactly that. I need a swift kick to get motivated again. I am down 45 (gained a few over the holidays) but I can eat bread too! I am going for a fill tomorrow because I seem to be always hungary...I have also been getting on my treadmill and excercising faithfully. I have a goal to be down two more sizes before I hit the Vegas strip in April...I just have to get to it! Any motivators out there, feel free to give me a kick!

    Restriction question

Hi all, I am going through some restriction bumps too! Last week I could barely get soup down and this week, I can eat everything in sight. I don't know if I should get another fill, or ride out this eating wave for a week and see if it mellows out!
  5. HI, I am having the opposite problem, I am so constipated, I am so bloated this week. I have been taking metamucil to help, but so far no relief!
  6. Hi all, this has helped me as well because I had my second fill two days ago as well and I am having some trouble. I couldn't get a bit of cottage cheese down this morning and I didn't realize before that the morning can be difficult because your stomach swells. I am on soup and will stick it out a few days and see what happens!
  7. Hi Joel, when is the AGM?

Please - what does restriction feel like?

Hi, I just had my second fill, with my first I did feel like I had enough restriction, if things got caught though because I didn't chew enough I felt it. Now I think I might have too much restriction, I had a tough time getting cottage cheese down this morning. I am giving it a few days. I was banded on may 22 and this is my second fill, my first was on July 3. I didn't think you were supposed to have fills until your stomach healed.

    Any May Bandsters?

Hi, I was banded in May to and had my first fill at the beginning of July. I was down 25 lbs up to my first fill and have only lost 5 lbs since them. I am working on scheduling another fill as I still feel like I can eat no problem...so I am feeling a little discouraged. I have had pbing and have pretty much given up bread unless it is really toasted and any kind of meat that tends to get dry! I guess I need some inspiration...I was hoping to lose 10 in August, but so far I am not on track for that. I am keeping active and monitoring my intake, I am going to cut out any salt, so hopefully this will also help....I'll keep kicking!

How many pokes with a fill?

Hi, I had my surgery with Dr. Ortiz in Tijuana and I am going back there for my first fill. I am nervous too, but Dr. Ortiz does it under floroscopy, so I don't think they need to poke around from my understanding it is like having an x-ray...maybe you need to find someone who does fills this way?

  12. Hi, I was banded on May 22, 2008. I did two weeks of a protein shake diet before my surgery and only lost about 8lbs. I have lost about 5 more since the surgery. (13 in total). Since I was banded last week, I have been starving and not just in my mind, my stomach is constantly growling. I was told I would not be hungry the first week, but I feel extremely hungry. I also seem to get alot of heartburn, which I never had before. My doctor has a liquid diet for 21 days after surgery....I am sticking to it...but ready to knaw my arm off....anyone else going through this?
