    Medicaid, and with Kaiser? ?

Hi Faith. I went through the Weight Loss Surgery education program at Kaiser with Medicaid. The length of the Kaiser program is only 3 months now. I finished the program and all the Pre-Op testing in late September, and I'm scheduled to have the sleeve surgery on December 14. I'm really nervous, but the Kaiser program makes sure you're well educated about the surgery and how to handle the Pre-Op and Post-Op lifestyle changes. Give the education program a chance and upon completion, you still have up to a year to decide if the actual surgery is something you want or not. Good luck! Another example of not fitting into the world

Hey ladycrank. I totally understand your situation, as I was absolutely unable to fit into a CT Scan machine early last year when I had a blood clot in my leg, I was pretty bummed out about it. Fast forward a year and a half later and I've worked to lose 120 pounds and finally last week when I went in for the Pre-Op Upper GI scan, I was able to fit into the CT Scan machine just fine. I couldn't dance in it but the doctor said all the pictures came out great. I truly feel blessed. Good luck to you, I know we can all do this! Excited and terrified

Hey Shonda. My surgery date is December 14, and I'm VERY nervous. Somehow I'm just having a tough time with the concept of having a large portion of my stomach removed. I guess my real fear is the potential post-op pain, however, I do have a lot of confidence in my surgeon and the nursing staff at my local hospital here in Los Angeles. I know we can all do this! :-D Don't look back, turn the page, and let your next chapter begin!
