You won't give into temptation, many things with your diet change after the operation. For I would love KFC or a McDonald's, but the kids have had them in front of me and I have never been tempted. You will be fine concentrate on small sips of liquids, good luck for the 20th. Sent from my HTC 10 using the BariatricPal App

New and just found this UK support group
adriant replied to Meeb's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi all I live in Milton Keynes and had my sleeve done on November 7th. It's been a rather roller coaster of a time, due to having a gastric bleed and ulcer a week later. Still struggle getting all my fluids down, but every day is a day of learning. On the 22 December they are putting a camera down to have a look see, will update everyone then. All I can say is take things slowly don't try and rush things, but I have lost 55lb so everything is going in the right direction. Sent from my HTC 10 using the BariatricPal App -
I wouldn't touch it or any of the other fizzy drinks, it's hard I know but you don't want to damage all the good work, so please check with you doctor. Sent from my HTC 10 using the BariatricPal App

Surgery Tomorrow- Soliciting Tips/Prayers
adriant replied to ayahbesleeved's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Before an Operation Let us pray to the Lord. Lord, have mercy. O Lord Jesus Christ our God, Who did patiently endured the scourging and wounding of Your most holy Body, that You might save the souls and bodies of Your people, look graciously, we beseech You, upon the suffering body of this Your servant (Name) and give (him/her) strength to endure patiently whatsoever You shall see fit to lay upon (him/her). Bless the means employed for the working out of (his/her) cure, granting that (he/she) may so endure (his/her) sufferings in the flesh that the wounding of (his/her) body may be to avail for the correcting and salvation of (his/her) soul. For Yours it is to show mercy and to save,O Christ our God; and to You do we send up glory, with Your Eternal Father and Your All-Holy, Good and Life-creating Spirit; both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen. Thoughts & prayers with you Sent from my HTC 10 using the BariatricPal App -

Don't know how much more I can take

I have also been having a really horrid time. Stricture has been ruled out so they have changed my meds for stronger anti sickness and anti acid. They have also put me back on liquid Soups and Protein drinks only. This is now day 6 of the new meds and everything seems to have settled, surgery was on November 7th, I now have a endoscopy booked for the January 9th. All this took place due to the support I was given by my GP, who also put pressure on the bariatric team, have spend nearly 3 weeks out if the last 6 all in hospital. Keep up the pressure on the doctor who did your surgery, in fact if you can go there in person so they have to help you. I promise you one thing it does get better, its hard very hard the journey but you will get there. God Bless and I pray that things will be get well for you Sent from my HTC 10 using the BariatricPal App -
Git home last evening after three days in hospital, they did the GI test all was good and no stricture. They changed my anti sickness for stronger ones and also gave me a new anti acid tablet. Great news is I can now tolerate pureed foods again and am no longer dehydrated. Thank you for all the support I received. Sent from my HTC 10 using the BariatricPal App

Hi, I was dehydrated due to vomiting and diarrhoea. They also changed my anti sickness to some stronger ones, saline drips and I can now tolerate pureed foods again. They say it was just one of those things concerning my stomach reacting the way it did, thank God I didn't have any stricture GI test showed all was fine. Be very careful with naproxen, these have caused me no end of issues and bleeds since I had a sleeve. Doctor's have now said that I can never take them again, so they have put me on 10mg amitriptyline for osteoarthritis it works a treat. All happily moving forward with my recovery. Nausea and no eating or drinking...
adriant replied to LykaCory's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
You need to have a GI test to ensure that you have no stricture, you also need good anti sickness drugs to stop you vomiting. I was the same as soon as I hit pureed the stomach didn't want to know. I returned last night after spending 3 days in hospital for dehydration and vomiting, now that stopped I have two different anti sickness tablets and a new anti acid tablet. Hope this helps.
