Hello! I'm four months out right now and my dietician told me to not worry about calories, etc. but to focus on protein and water goals. At my surgery follow up yesterday the nurse told me to stay under 25 grams of fat. I'm curious what everyone else is doing. I feel like 25 grams is low since I have to push protein. Based on the nurses comment I'm trying to give up cheese and only eat low fat cheese 2-3 times per week and start watching my fat content more closely. I mainly eat chicken, fish and avocado. I'm half way through my day today and I'm already at 25 grams of fat. I am going to make an appointment with the dietician but I would like to hear your thoughts. I feel like there is frequently a disconnect between my doctors office and dietician so it can be very confusing. Ultimately I know it is what works best for me and my body.
