My Lap Band will hold 14cc. Anyone else with that size?
littlefroggy replied to Melisa1's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was told I had a 10 cc band, but then the doctor gave me this "in case of emergency" card and it said 14. -
I tried this for the first time tonight and it was so fun! I totally recommend it! You do it in the deep end so you tread Water and you're moving the whole time! You wear a little floatie belt around your waist, so no sinking!

I use Calorie King to track my calorie intake each day. Today I worked out and burned 685 calories during exercise. I ate 1341 calories, but the tracker only counts 647 of them, due to the deficit created by exercise. Do you count the calorie loss from exercise, or should I try to stay under 1000 calories EVEN WHEN I EXERCISE? If I had done that, before eating my "evening snack" I was at like 890 calories, which would have been good for the day. However, I was hungry after working out this evening.

B-3 turkey meat balls w/ lite ranch L- Teriyaki chicken, no rice D- 4 mini tacos, melted cheese slice, 2 tbsp guacamole Workout- 45 minutes Water aerobics, 30 minutes swimming laps -
Every evening when I get home from the pool, I am so glad I worked out! I am feeling SO SO SO much better. Swimming laps and doing the class is making me feel so much better about myself. And I don't feel FAT in the Water. My body does what I expect it to, so I like that. Unlike when doing other things and I can feel my body not doing what it's supposed to because I can't. For an extra challenge, don't wear the floatation belt.

A regular mini-sized snickers is 40 calories. I had one today. But I don't do low carb, just trying to keep low fat and low cal.

I am in the same boat. I have only had one fill though. I NEED another one and will have it on Wednesday. I'm worried they will turn me away since it hasn't been six weeks but I am hungry all the time and it's sheer willpower keeping me on track (and I have been totally OFF track today!)

Check your local public pool. I do mine at one of the city pools. I also decided to take off the floatie belt and do it without. It's a much harder workout. Doing the deep water aerobics inspired me to swim, so now I am doing laps for 45 minutes before the class and THEN the 45 minute class! I LOVE both!

I doubt even if I get to goal I could wear a bikini unless I get some major reconstructive surgery... but I'm only 31! I might be able to swing it for a few more years! What about you??

I had a pretty good day and I talked to my dietician on the phone and she felt like things were going well. B- 4 turkey meatballs L- chicken salad S- 3 soy chicken nuggets w/ light ranch dressing D- taco salad, no shell S- 100 calorie snack, chocolate covered pretzels -
I was a little embarrassed about thinking of being nude on the table too, but not enough to not do the surgery! Also, I think they cover you up and only have your stomach area revealed during surgery... at least that's what I think. I was knocked out and won't see any of the people again except my surgeon. And I hardly see my surgeon anymore, usually just the nurses and office staff. Really, it will be fine! I did have diarrhea, but it was from the protein supplements. Both the soy and the whey were making me sick- even the vegan soy one! it didn't start until a week post op though- after it had built up in my system.

Help i dont eat yogurt or cheese!!!!!!!!!
littlefroggy replied to NEWME2008's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I don't eat any dairy generally, but LOVE cheese so much I am always on the hunt. Most makes me sick- even soy cheese (casein is in it.) BUT I found YOGURT CHEESE at Trader Joe's. It's lactose free and tastes good to me. I can't eat yogurt at all, so I don't know why I can eat that, but it's good and doesn't make me sick, just a LITTLE gassy, but that's a lot better than what usually happens to me! -
What do you plan on changing when you lose weight? I plan on growing out my hair and maybe getting contacts (I've never had them.) And a new wardrobe of course! What about you? When I get to a size 14 my world is going to change! I'll be doing a LOT of shopping! Ha ha !

Someone called me "the incredible shrinking woman!" I was so excited! Plus I made a goal today, which was 231! (Set my calorie king, not me.) I was getting worried that I wasn't losing, but I am!

ORGASM, why is my PORT area givin me a PROBLEM?
littlefroggy replied to JerseyGirl2u's topic in The Gals' Room
Seriously, I would talk to the doctor. They may consider moving your port. I mean, this is not something you would want to happen for the rest of your life! -
Before and After Lap Band Surgery - PICTURES ONLY
littlefroggy replied to DeLarla's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Here are also some of my face. I see a big difference, but it's more the LOOK on my face (and in the before I look sickly.) The before is the one in the tank top (it was August after all) and the after is in the coat. I'm excited to post the pictures that have a REAL different look, but that will be later! -
Before and After Lap Band Surgery - PICTURES ONLY
littlefroggy replied to DeLarla's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I don't see too much difference, but maybe you will! The first pictures were taken during the summer, in July, a month before surgery and before I started the pre-op diet. I HATE the side view before!! Thank goodness those days are gone! The current pics are in the jeans. -
But it did- I puked or PB'ed or whatever. Horrible.. Now I have to be on liquids for 2 days according to my doctor. I really thought I didn't have enough restriction yet and that it would only happen to people with more restriction!

Vote for your favorite protein drink!
littlefroggy replied to photo's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have SUCH a problem with Protein drinks. I just can't digest them well. I do like crytomax Protein Drinks. Cytosport - Products - Cytomax® Protein Pure Performance Drink They don't bug me so much. The watermelon is the best and I can drink that one alone. The others I mix with Water. Thank goodness I am not on protein drinks anymore full time! I am drinking protein today as I puked yesterday and I need to let my stomach heal. -
Well, I have NOT been good about not snacking! I emailed the dietician to see what she says. Good for you! You have amazing will-power!:crying:

Subways are a franchise so I would contact the owner and tell him about his rude employee. The corporate office probably can't do much about the specific people employed at the franchises... However, as for the meal- they do have their set prices, so I guess I can understand where he was coming from. I just order and pick at my food. I figure that in general my food costs are SO much lower now, since I rarely eat out I really should just get the regular priced item or a children's item and be done with it. I generally order appetizers.

Getting in calories on clear liquid diet
littlefroggy replied to *slim*'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You don't worry about calories. If you are feeling fine, don't worry about it. You will have enough days of calorie counting ahead. I think I went almost a month when I had no more than 500 calories because I just couldn't get it in! And that was on food! When I do clear liquids (like after my fill) I drink a clear Protein drink from Vitamin Shoppe... it's in the refrigerator section and from the makers of Muscle Milk. I think it's 180 calories, and I drink 2 in a day, so that seems to be enough calories to not get hungry because it's 80 grams of protein!
