I'm almost 2 weeks post op, will be on Monday and im.not working at the moment...but my energy level is low...I think the more you start to heal and the more the pain goes away you start to feel the drag, and also I've lost 26 pounds since my preop diet so I think that ties into it as well

I feel you and im 7 days post op as of today , and being the momma of a toddler who loves to war doesn't make it better..and I live in a house full of 6 other people who eat...and cook and it's just straight torture...the only thing saving me is my loss of hunger sensations and incentives I had gotten the sleeve. Imean not a food addict. It when I do eat I want it to count lol and I I eat out of boredom and being here addicts the house with not anything to do is making me really boredTry sugar free popsicles. They help so much!

For anyone who is having issues getting in all their liquids, I use 1 ounce medicine cups. Every hour I fill up four of them with whatever Fluid I'm drinking and drink one cup every 15 minutes. I start at 8am to either 9pm or 10pm. I hope this helps

Hmm I need read more up on the rny, I had the sleeve and we don't have a hunger sensations sardonic because that part was removed. So although I have an appetite and want food, mostly out of boredom because im.not exactly a food addict, I have no desire to eat or hunger pains. Good luck...the surgery may have something to do with why you arent having an appetite ????Post op 3 days I still hurt pretty bad, been up walking and drinking Water and Protein AZ much as possible. I have no appetite, nothing sounds good at this point probably lt a lot to do with the pain, but definitely thinking this is going to work hopefully!

I have bcbs il...you have to complete growth which means you are 18 or older...see a dietician..have a psych evaluations and a letter from.yojr surgeon staring all of these have been met...that's with a BMI of 40 and above. If you have a 35-39 bmi you will have to complete the above mentioned and either have one or more morbities which a few are hypertension, diabetes, sleep apnea and I forget the othersHey everyone! My name is Katie and I'm just beginning this Gastric Sleeve adventure. I went to a required seminar and was given some questions to ask my insurance company. They were: what is the required bmi, how many nutrition visits are required and how many physicians visits. So the insurance company said that these limits didn't exist I just needed a pre authorization for surgery. I contacted the surgeons office to see if this sounded right and they said that the surgeon will tell me the required length or time and bmi. Does anyone have an idea if this sounds right? All the reading I've done I expected to hear 35 to 40 bmi, and 90 days or six months of nutrition and physician appointments. Does this mean my insurance might not have these limits or the surgeons office will tell me the requirements??
Hi Katie! We are in the same boat. I called my insurance and they said there is no requirements just pre-authorization. I'll be seeing my surgeon monday. I have BCBS of IL. It just seems too easy right?!?! I'm going to wait to see what the surgeon says. I will let you know. I wish you luck on your journey

I meant take down lol
"Take fornication...."
No problem, I'm an insurance agent myself and most insurance fall Center reps are not licensed. I would call again and see if you get a different answer and take fornication the names of who you speak withThank you! That is what I found and couldn't figure out what the insurance rep said she couldn't find any of these requirements. Maybe it's something they give the provider and not directly to the patient. Thank you for your help!!

I let them know that I only asked for their support and not their criticism nor opinions on a choice I've made for myself and that will not affect them in the slightest and frankly it's none of their business????

Good luck on your preop journeyBest of luck to all!! I've been considering this surgery for a little over a year, and finally decided this is the right decision for me. So I'm going to a required informational session this week and hopefully moving (smoothly) forward from there.

My surgery date is set for January 23rd, I'll be starting my preop diet tomorrow
January 31, 2017. Prepared by doing all pre op, buying shakes, Soups, pudding, Jello researching, this site, bought treadmill and trying to do 15 min + every day or other day. Fit bit to track activity. Just anxious to get it done because as I wait I worry. LolSo I got approved and hoping I get a January date...anyone else starting their new years on the right track??? If so when??? Drop those dates
