  1. So I know I'm pretty lucky to have had no real complications after my surgery on the 19th but this morning I developed a sharp pain in my upper left abdomen. It's really only if I take a deep breath in but when I do that too deep the pain doubles me over but then goes away. There is no incision there and it is only just barely tender when pushed on. Did anyone else have this or something like it? I thought I maybe drank my Protein shakes too fast but it has persisted through the day. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

    No food on Christmas

I definitely feel you on this one. I just had bypass on the 19th. My family actually doesn't live that close (about 2 hrs) but I couldn't even go home just FaceTime for a little while. While we were they were talking about their dinner and I almost cried. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  4. How long was it before the pain from the gas left you? I'm 4 days post op today but just came home yesterday. Just wondering how long to expect this... I suspect most of my pain I'd actually more that than the actual surgery. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  5. I just had my bypass on Monday. Had a few small complications and actually just got home from the hospital a few hours ago (3 days post op). My weight day of surgery was 361.2 and when I weighed myself when I got home was 376!!!!!!!! Someone please tell me this is normal and will just fall off. I obviously haven't had anything to eat except for Water and a couple Protein shakes so how can this be?!?!?! I don't go back to the doctor until Tuesday so I need some help from somebody who's been through this before!!! Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

  11. Genn, what was it like going back to work so soon? I am scheduled for bypass on December 19th and planning on going back to work one week later. I personally think I'll be fine because I think I lean more towards how you did and want to be up right away and doing as much as I can to get back on my feet. Everyone around me seems to think that's way too soon to go back. I work a desk job, mostly, so I think it would be fine but your input would sure be helpful.
