YAY! I finally have a band date of May 29th!!!

:biggrin::thumbup: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I GOT A DATE!!!!!!!:w00t::smash: Alright so this morning I was working on my homework when the surgeons office called me. She schedualed my pre-op appointment for the 12th, and asked me when I was expecting to be banded, I mentioned my situation about school coming up on June 2nd, so she gave me a couple dates open towards the end of May! I picked the 29th! Its a lucky number for women in my family, most of us are born on it! Me in Feb, both my grandmothers, one in August and one in March, my great grandmother and one of my cousins in September, (those are just the ones I remember off the top of my head.) I'm not sure whats going on with the insurance, I must have gotten approved if they are already schedualing a surgery day! SO May 29th is my date!!!! Thanks for all your good wishes! They must have really worked!

No date yet, :wink2: I've had all my testing done for about a week and a half now, I am probably going to call the surgeons office today and just make sure they have everything. I really want to get in there and see him so I can get the ball rolling! I have finals coming up in the next couple weeks and TONS of papers and projects and such to finish so I am super stresssed out right now, it would be a nice relief to finally have a date :tt2: Anyways, good luck again to everyone with dates coming so soon!!! Bandfan, I can't wait to hear about how everything goes!!!

Hey Kim, I actually worked as a waitress at Gilette stadium. I worked all the football games and served the players and such, it was alright but the days were REALLY long, I left a couple months ago. But yeah when I was there there was always tons of construction and such and it took forever to actually get into the parking lot.

AHHHH Everyone with dates coming up must be so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!! May first is only 5 days away!!!!

Ugh thanks guys!!! Good luck to everyone who has their band dates coming up super soon!!!!! I'm so excited for you all!!!! Good job with the dieting, I'm not doing so well with that... as I mentioned before, but at least I've been able to cut out soda all together, alright except for the occasional shirley temple er, and a couple nights ago I went a little hog wild and had some tequila shots, er maybe 7? LOL, I hope I can still tolerate occasional tequila and vodka after the band, I don't drink that much, maybe once every couple months, but I hope that doesn't increase once I can LEGALLY drink, ha. SO now I'm just waiting for my surgeons office to call. I was hoping it would be this week, but I'm still waiting, impatiently!!!! How long was it before you all heard from your surgeons after all of the testing and such, (sleep lab, psych eval, bloodwork, getting your letter from you pcp, etc.) Thanks :grouphug:

Good for you! Both of those things are very difficult, giving up soda, and becoming a nurse. One of my best friends just graduated from college and is now an RN, she worked her toosh off!!! So kudos to you!!! And giving up soda!!! I used to be ADDICTED to soda. I have tried weaning off and now I won't even touch coke or pepsi, I hate it now! Its gotten to the point where I'll occasionally have orange soda (mmm) or shirley temples, I don't even like any other kind anymore, so it can be done! :rolleyes2:

Hey guys, I'm dying over here!! I never thought that I was someone who emotionally ate, maybe a little boredom eating here and there, but nothing out of controll, I was just always hungry!! Right? Er... well now my whole family is on vacation this week. My brother and sister have school vacation this week so my sister went to Greece on a class trip, and my parents took my brother to New Hampshire. SO its just me!! The first day I was home alone, I took my moms credit card and hit the stop and shop!!!! I filled a cart with cereal, popcorn, mac n' cheese, yogurt, orange soda, pasta, popsicles, and just generally nothing healthy. Its not too bad when I'm busy, but I had the night off from work and all my friends are busy. I've been sitting here since like, 3 p.m. shoving everything in my mouth and staring at the TV. I went for a walk earlier since it was so nice out today, but after that I just kept eating. I'm dying of boredom and now I am starting to realize JUST how much I rely on food for company!!!!! :crying:

AHHHH I agree with pretty much all of that!!! I especially know what you mean about Brooke, I HATE all those facial expressions she makes!!!!!!! She looks like she is trying to life a 900 pound weight while she is singing, it drives me NUTS!

Hey marineliebe, I bet we are all feeling like this, I know I am! I think especially since I have NEVER been thin, I feel like maybe I'm supposed to be like this! I mean, I've done everything, and nothing has worked! There have been a few pounds lost here and there, but I have simply never been a normal or healthy weight. Its so strange to think that if this really does work for me, I shold be at a weight that I haven't seen since probably 5th grade!! I think it might be a little different for people that were thin when they were young and now that they are older have gained weight. Its so strange to think of me being thin, (will I look 10 again? lol) which is why I'm so afraid that this, along with everyone else, won't work.

Thanks for the good wishes three sixty six, yeah that thing sucked but at least its all over ( i hope lol ) angelic 1, I recently tried telling my thin sister about all this, she just gave me the death eye and didn't say anything, I had to say, isn't that exciting? Just to try to get something out of her, she just said, "no, thats f**king stupid, just do it yourself, your so f**king lazy." Awesome. I didn't even try to reason with her, I just shut up and sat there on my laptop, she hasn't mentioned anything since so whatever. I mean, shes in highschool and all highschool girls are BIG BITCHES! lol, so screw her! I'm getting so excited now that I'm just waiting for my surgeon to call and schedual an appointment where he will give me my date hopefully! As of right now I have 3 supporters, my mom, (shes finally totally supportive) and two close friends.

Yay!!! My best friend worked at Sharon Cinema 8 forever and we still go there all the time when shes home from college. Nice to find people so close by :glare: Who is your surgeon?? Mine is the Glasgows in Norwood.

Yeah Lucy we are in the same boat. I just finished up all my appointments with everyone and am now just waiting!!!!!! Hope everything goes well!!! Keep me posted as well! Allison

Hey Ailie, my best friend lives in North Adams, its so pretty out there but so far from everything lol! She goes to MCLA but lives back home in Attleboro over the summer.

I've been told that if you focus on specific weight training and such that your skin will have an easier time toning and firming and such, I don't really know what kind of excersizes you can do for your boobs lol.

They just ask you some questions and make sure your not doing this for the wrong reasons and such its not too bad. I'm not sure about a breathing test maybe to make sure you don't have asthma or something? Good luck

Hey lauren we sound pretty similar, I'm about 5'1 - 5'2 and have about the same bra size. When we are so short our "healthy range" sounds so unreachable since the numbers are so low!! I haven't weighed anything close to 130 since probably 5th grade. I just hope that if I loose weight my boobs don't look like saggy pancakes lol! I'm 20, I WANT them to shrink so I don't have to go to PT anymore for my back problems, I just don't want to have to pick them off the ground if I bend over lol. Good luck with everything!!!

Haha I can't work in retail anymore, It was like I was just handing my paycheck back to them every day when I would spend the whole thing on their stuff! I worked at Pier 1 for about 2 years, then I worked at Torrid for a year... so much money gone lol. BUT at Torrid we got a 40% discount!!! Then when the clearance stuff would have its 50% off sale we got a 90% discount on all of that! I bought the most beautiful prom dress (I have it in some of my album pics, its the kelly green one) for like, $2, it was in perfect condition and was orignally like, $80. Gotta love employee discounts!
