I had the band in 2013 and had a bad rash around each incision and the same thing happened this time after my revision from band to sleeve in Nov. Since they are completely closed and healed on the outside I've been using Mederma Ointment to try and help fade them. Ps If they are still healing maybe you can put Neosporin on them. And don't scratch when they start itching, instead just run lightly, that helped to soothe mines Hope This Help Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using the BariatricPal App

Negative Nellies!
WGH3IWDT replied to Wonder WomanNJ's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Also, don't focus on those people who are not supportive. Focus on why you are doing this and who it is for, YOU. SOME PEOPLE ARE NEGATIVE AND WILL NEVER CHANGE, YET AND STILL PRAY FOR THEM, AND FOCUS ON YOU Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using the BariatricPal App -
Hi I actually started this Bariatric Surgery in the beginning of 2013. I had the lap band put in July 2013. My HW ever was 255. My LW after the band was 225, and because I had problems with them getting me in the Green (Right) Zone. I couldn't lose anymore and as of the beginning of 2016 I was at my highest post Lap Band in 2013 which was 244.4. Considering to have a revision, I called my insurance company who said the maximum number of Bariatric Surgeries was 2, I decided to start the Process. I had my revision done in one day on Nov 14, 2016, the day after my 50th Birthday, at which time I was down to 231. Also, I actually almost backed out the day of surgery, but so glad I didn't. As of today Dec 17, 2016 I'm down to 218.8, AND I'M DETERMINED WITH THE HELP OF GOD TO REACH MY GOAL. A suggestion for anyone considering any of these surgeries for the first time or revision, PLEASE PRAY AND ASK GOD, WHICH I DID EACH TIME, AND HE GAVE ME THE OK EACH TIME. SO HERE I AM TODAY. Ps I'd recommend the Sleeve Over The Band. Yes the band can be reversed and said to be the safest, but if you don't get the Right Fill, you'll probably end up like me losing then gaining some back and headed back in the wrong direction overall.

WGH3IWDT replied to JuniperBug's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My stats were close My highest weight ever was 255 had the band in 2013 and revision 11/14/16. Weight at BEGINNING of revision was 244.4. i'm 5'3" wore an 18-20, bra 42DD, also and my stomach hangs over. I think it hangs over like it does because I had 2 c-sections. Since my surgery 11/14/16, I'm down to 218.8 stomach still hangs over, but I can tell it's not as heavy. Looking forward to it getting smaller as I get smaller. I AGREE WITH EVERYONE ELSE, YOU CAN DO IT Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using the BariatricPal App -
I almost passed out several times. I was very lightheaded and I knew if I didn't lean on something or sit down quickly that I was going to faint, THANK GOD IT NEVER HAPPENED, but my cousin suggested that I drink some Water and that actually made that feeling go away each time. And I believe I experienced what did because I was dehydrated, and that could possibly be what you are too. Take Care and if you ever feel that feeling again lean on something til it pass and/or if you can Safely sit down. And try drinking some water. Most IMPORTANT I HOPE AND PRAY THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN TO YOU AGAIN. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND DON'T BE SCARED, JUST PRAY Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using the BariatricPal App

I just lightly rubbed over mine when they itched and it normally helped. Also, benadryl has something for itch that goes on top of the skin, but with this I'd check with the doctors office first about it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using the BariatricPal App
