Remember, she wants this. Its not something she is trying to deal with or avoid. She likes it. Some women do prefer to stay home with their kids. I did and in today's society it is hard to find men who support that, NOT require it. Big difference. It could very well have everything to do with it. Although, look further into it and ask yourself WHY are they lower end income. If the answer is laziness or lack of motivation, then I'm willing to bet that IS the answer. If you are drawn to men with those personality traits, try being aware of that inbuilt attraction and force yourself to see attractive qualities in men who are stronger in character.

You still cant have my Bud Light!

Heya Christy - just post a little bit about yourself so we can all get to know you, and have a look at page one of this thread. I'll add you to the Members page and put your stats up if you want them up. The Members page will show you how we post our stats. Then some of us choose to weigh in each week or participate in challenges we have. Our spring challenge is just ending but we have another starting up tomorrow. So you're just in time! Weclome to the club!

Its very normal to hit plateaus, even with the band. Just keep doing what youre doing and dont worry about the scale. If you weigh every day it becomes frustrating... like clock watching. I have had weeks that I only lost 1/2 pound or nothing at all. But my overall average is just under 3 pounds per week. That is a great average! Are you tracking your weekly loss? If so, average it out. It will help you see a true picture of your progress. Ok.. Im up for a June Challenge! Tomorrow will overlap. It will be the last weigh-in/scorecard day for the Spring Challenge as well as the first day of the June challenge. Here we go again. Any of you quiet Gone for Gooders interested in joining this go-round? I hope so!

The Spring Challenge ends at midnight on Wednesday, May 31st. I will check everyone's score cards on Thursday afternoon. I want to give everyone time to have their cards completed. Those who do aren't going to finish the challenge, please just delete your scorecard and put Withdraw instead. Those who are going to finish up, please get your cards updated by Wednesday night. Remember, there are going to be points for your weightloss, bonuses, and your daily points. So dont give up until you add it up! On Thursday, you will all find a new Gone for Good Club thread. I will post the link on this thread so you can easily find it. Then, all posts will be made on the new thread. We do this each month to keep the thread from growing too long. If I get enough positive responses to a Summer Challenge, then I will have the new scorecards ready for copying on the new thread as well. Come on everyone! Join in if you missed it last time! Join in if you flaked out last time (I did )! Let's make this a summer to remember, ya big losers! *laughs*

You know what? Its fine with me if you all want to keep going in June. I know that Lins was talking about starting a Challenge but we can certainly just do it here. I'm not tired of it at all and I'd really like a chance to do better next month. So.... what do you all say? Start the summer challenge on Wednesday and maybe let this one go thru June and July? Same reward - the badge of honor. Everyone in?

This was both funny as hell AND encouraging. I know Im going to need to have this done and it's been kind of daunting. It really helps to hear that it's really not so bad to go through and very worth it. Now... what to do with my underarm wings... :faint:

You can click on Quick Links at the top of the page and then select Subscribed Threads and you'll see a list of threads you posted in. I use that a lot. Or, go back to the home page and look at the newest posts, or scan down the forums to see the latest posts. Mine come to my email too, like Dawg said, so sometimes I scan through those. -
Gatorade and jello.. sugar and water. You aren't drinking any protein shakes? Of any kind? Was that Drs orders? Sounds like you did over do a weak body. Sip water, lots of water. If you cant drink protein shakes yet and have to be on clear liquids, get some Nature's Best Zero Carb Isopure protein drinks. They are clear and fruit flavored, already prepared in jars. I hear of a lot of people feeling sick the first few days after surgery. Take it easy for a while. Walk short bits at a time until you are getting more protein in. Your body is going through a lot right now. Treat it with kindness

DGMozer - stop posting the same thing on all of these different threads. Wait and let someone answer you on one thread. -
I'll tell you what. Sometime in the next year I'm going to have to be in Knoxville, Tennessee. When that happens, I'll let you all know and I'll make it a point of scootin' over the border to have lunch with my adopted NC family. Deal?
-
Ah ha! Look at you girl. You're going to have one of those bodies I'm always so jealous of. You dont look out of proportion at all. Woot! I'm celebrating with you over here in Idaho!! How does it feel to be half the woman you used to be? I'm guessing that it ROCKS! Yay for you!

First of all, Sammee... Huge congrats on your accomplishment! That is just remarkable! Secondly, I am close to my goal. Well, ok, 73 pounds closeR. But I'm seeing the same issues. The bottom half is getting smaller than the top half. I plan to have an "attitude adjustment" made to my girls when I reach goal IF they cant straighten themselves up! hehe I agree with Donna. That is THE look admired by many. Slender hips, and big chested. I'd say you ended up with the best of both worlds. Have you shared before and after pics yet? Did I just miss them?

Woohoo! I've gone from a size 26 to a size 16 in 5 months! *shows everyone the jeans she's wearing* It was recently said in another thread that I'm having problems with my food choices. Err.. I'd like to correct that. I have not cheated on myself even once. Sorry to disappoint.

Do you take off your shoes?

Sangha is a word in Indian languages that can be translated roughly as "association" or "assembly". It is commonly used in several senses to refer to Buddhist or Jain groups. Traditionally, in Buddhism almost always has one of two meanings: most commonly, sangha means the order of ordained Buddhist monks or nuns (that is, there is one sangha of monks and one of nuns). In a stricter sense, sangha can mean the assembly of all beings possessing some degree of enlightenment. This is referred to as the arya-sangha or noble sangha. That's what it means. She takes off her shoes when going to services. Right? -
Ok! I'll be a good luck troll! Here's me going Trollster on ya... Internet troll From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia In Internet terminology, a troll is someone who comes into an established community such as an online discussion forum, and posts inflammatory, rude or offensive messages designed intentionally to annoy and antagonize the existing members or disrupt the flow of discussion (see Anonymous Internet posting). Vicious circles For many people, the characterising feature of trolling is the perception of intent to disrupt a community in some way. Inflammatory, sarcastic, disruptive or humorous content is posted, meant to draw other users into engaging the troll in a fruitless confrontation. The greater the reaction from the community the more likely the user is to troll again, as the person develops beliefs that certain actions achieve his/her goal to cause chaos. This gives rise to the often repeated protocol in Internet culture: "Do not feed the trolls." Often, a person will post a sincere message about which he is emotionally sensitive. Skillful trolls know that an easy way to upset him is to falsely claim that he is a "troll." In forums where most users are similar to each other, outsiders may be perceived as trolls simply because they do not fit into the social norms of that group. It can sometimes be difficult to distinguish between a user who merely has different values, views, or ideas, and a user who is intentionally trolling. This can lead to genuinely hostile behavior, including flame wars.
