Newbie with a major question
PhotoNut replied to Mary Warren Williams's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Wow.. Dody, I know we have had our problems, but I just wanted to tell you that I think you're a very brave woman to go thru all you went thru this year in order to get your band. Honestly and sincerely. I'm very happy that things have gone well for you with the knee and the band. Susan -
It is heartbreaking when we see people die and we think it is a senseless death or a waste of youth. Then, on the other hand, and I know this is kind of odd, but to me, dying together on your honeymoon is so hm.. blessed? You are instantly together forever without the years of heartache, stress, and possibly divorce. Make sense? I had a miscarriage and lost twins several years ago. My only comfort was knowing that they went straight on to (what I believe is.. ) living in the presence of God. They missed out on so much pain and disappointment and they'll be there when I get there. (I can't help but wonder if this will show up in some thread about what a wacko I am. Oh well.) So, my thoughts about the newlyweds are along the same lines. When I heard about this crash, I was in the gift shop of the Spokane, Washington airport, picking up a gift for a friend while we were waiting for our flight back to Boise. That will test your faith in God's perfect timing. If ya know what I mean.

SOTC thread...Why NOT to post when your angry
PhotoNut replied to nursekathy2u's topic in Rants & Raves
I recently found out that my first husband, the biological father of my two grown kids, the man who spent four years in prison for trafficing drugs (looong after our divorce), is a Methodist pastor who is just completing his 5th year in Divinity College at Duke University. I have a friend who's church believes things that make me go.. HUH? Wait.. wha??? and yet, I love her to pieces and don't think I know of anyone else who loves God as much as she does. Even tho she believes God requires things of her that I think are too legalistic, the thing which impresses me most is that she lives by those things out of her love for her God. How can ya diss that? And finally, last night, my son poured out his heart to me and his step-dad, Dawg, and told us how vital we have been to his progress in fulfilling his calling to become a pastor. Um.. I dont know about you, but to me.. that was MONUMENTAL and I am so overwhelmed by God's grace for this family. Now, all that said.. I don't know what purpose it served to share this with you all other than I just felt like it was time to say.. "Praise God! He does love us and wants the best for us!" Thanks for letting me share.. And for those of you who find comfort in saying there is no god... wow, ya dont know what you're missing out on. The guy really knows how to love and care for his kids. I hope you find that out for yourselves some day. But until then, I fully respect where you are in your walk right now and I wouldn't dare presume to be qualified to say anything other than.. Hey, we all have our roads to walk, and for some reason, at this point in time, our paths have converged, and while we are on this stretch of the road together.. I extend a hand of friendship and hope with all my heart that we all get safely to where we are going.. and that we aren't too terribly disappointed when we get there! -
My momma has much less than I have, so I can't give her the credit. I went out and got mine on my own! LOL! My little mom weighs about 110 pounds and is about 5'4. But she can kick your ass. No doubt. Kickboxer, skydiver, gym rat.. my mom IS the ideal 68 year old image of health. (and she has Lupas.. but don't tell her that!_

Awww hi Preggy Pinky! This isnt a club but you are welcome to join all of us in our feeble attempts at keeping commitments. LOL! *cups her hands around her mouth and yells* Hey Penni!! I hope youre having a wonderful time with your man on your trip. Sing a lot. Drink a lot. Laugh a lot. And come home rested! Miss ya already!

Tricia.. are you and Telly.. like um.. into each others buns? If so, I want you to know that I feel very left out. My buns may be old but I can still shake them!

OT I have no idea who Krag Marva is but I wanted to say that my mom is 68 years old and does kick boxing. Her biggest thrill last week was learning how to flip someone in a self defense move. She also recently went skydiving.. that rotten biotch did it before I did! Ok. Back on Topic now. Love the bun Tricia. :huggie:

Librarians have nice buns. :huggie:

I'll try to get the updates done late tonight, but as slow as the board has been lately it might take me until tomorrow morning! I'm so very proud of this group. You all are doing an amazing job - banded and unbanded!
-
Um.. am I a moderator? Um.. :guess

Right. I forgot. Every time I try to defend myself I look just like her. Thanks for the reminder. My apologies to LBT for any part I have played in this. I will go back to keeping my mouth shut while people rip and tear me to shreds using every painful thing I have shared here for support to cut me with. Previous post deleted.

HEY FROM Kraggie Hope TN
PhotoNut replied to nothanks's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
La Madam.. None of that really matters. What does matter is that they are all being very cruel and hateful and filling up LBT with spiteful posts that are upsetting people. And the fact that I'm lumped into this simply because they have decided to target me for whatever reason, saddens me to no end. -
Wow Surby. I didn't have the nausea problem and I'm sorry to hear you're going thru such an ordeal. I would suggest that you give your Dr another call and let him/her know that the meds aren't helping. Is this happening when you try to drink or just any time? If it is when you try to drink, you could have a lot of swelling which is closing off your tummy and making it hard to get those fluids in. Also, if that's the case, you might want to talk to your Dr about an IV for fluids. You don't want to get dehydrated. I hope this gets resolved quickly. You must be miserable. Let us know what happens ok? *hugs*

Hm.. dare I post here? *chuckles* Ok, I've been doing well on journaling my daily intake and drinking water, but still slacking on the exercise. I'm trying! I did lose 5.5 pounds last week though, which puts me at a 90 pound loss. So yay for that. Keep on keeping on!

I'll be here on the 15th but I'll be winging my way to NC on the 16th. October sounds like the plan to aim for. So let's pick a weekend and get it on our calendars! We can always have a cookout at someone's house. Mine would be fine if its still fairly nice outside.
