Out of the 81 members we now have, only 23 reported their progress on Wednesday. There are some who haven't posted anything since they first joined. So I'm wondering, should I PM these folks and ask if they want to stay in the club, or just leave their names on the list? I don't want anyone to feel like they aren't welcome, but that list is getting very long and if they aren't really interested in the club and don't even check in, I guess they could be removed from the list. Or we could start bugging them to come back. hehe Any thoughts or suggestions?

Welcome to the Gone for Good Club The members of this "club" are like-minded people who want to challenge each other to keep working toward our goal of weight loss and keeping it off! We have no illusions of the band being a miracle cure, nor do we believe that we will achieve our goals without working for them. We understand that if we continue the lifestyle and eating habits that got us fat in the first place, we will not achieve our goals. We come together in order to strengthen our determination by sharing our dreams, our struggles, and our victories with one another. Everyone is welcome to join the club - banded, pre-banded, no band - all are welcome to join at any time. To join, please post a brief introduction of yourself and list any information you want posted on the main page. See the list of members below to get an idea of what info you can post. The only requirement for joining the club is a commitment to your own success in your weight loss journey, and the ability to say NO to Girl Scout cookies! Heya Julie, I dont have you on the members page yet! I'll do that now. Welcome to the club and you go girl! I'm out for perfection this month as well. I only lost 10 pounds last month. That is NOT happening againt this month. Oh, and I've added my pics to my scorecard now. And I added some side views of Dawg on the before and after pictures thread. He's changed so much!!

The Gone for Good Club's June Challenge How it works: From May 31st through June 28th, everyone who participates in the challenge will earn points for various achievements. On June 28th we will all tally up the points we earned during the challenge and the one with the most points wins. Who can join: Any GFG Club Member can join at any time during the challenge. There will be no back dating your points. For example, if you join on June 2nd, you begin to accumulate your points on from that day forward. Keeping track of points: Below is a score card you may copy and paste into a post on this thread. All of your updates will be kept by you on your score card only! This way we don't end up with a 100+ page thread. Simply go back to your Score card and Edit it to update. How to copy and paste the score card: Place your mouse pointer at the beginning of the Gone for Good Club June Challenge line on the score card. While holding down the right mouse button, drag the mouse pointer down to the bottom of the score card. You will see the entire card become highlighted. Right click the mouse and select Copy. Click on the Post Reply button at the bottom of the page. Point and click inside the edit box that opens and then right click on the mouse and select Paste. You may then enter your points for today. If you wish to verify that everything looks good, click on the Preview Post button. Once you are satisfied that your card is correct, click on the Submit Reply button. How to edit your score card: Click on the Edit button of your score card. Then click in the middle of the line where you wish to place enter your points. Type in the number and then press the delete button on your keyboard one time. This should keep the formatting. *crosses fingers* Preview your changes to be sure they are correct, and then click on Save Changes. Everyone will be on their honor to keep an honest record of their daily points. How to earn points: Rule 1: For each day that you drink a minimum of 64oz of Water, you earn 1 point. Rule 2: For each day that you exercise for a minimum of 30 minutes (doesn't have to be all at one time), you will earn 2 points. Rule 3: For each day that you do not eat foods that contain flour or sugar, you will earn 3 points. Sugar substitutes and small amounts of sugars in healthy pre-packaged foods are allowed. There are healthy foods that do contain small amounts of sugars, such as cottage cheese, whole grain cereals, fruits in light syrup, etc. This is aimed at Cookies, cakes, candies, sweet drinks and granulated sugars added to your foods and drinks. Whole grains in cereals are also permitted. Weight loss: For each pound you lose during the challenge, you will earn 1 point. This will be based on the difference between your weight on May 31st and your final weigh-in weight on June 28th. There are 29 days in the June Challenge, so there is a possibility of earning 174 points. However, for those of you who achieve a perfect week in any of the first three categories by earning points every day, you will receive a 5 point bonus for that week, making it possible to earn 234 points if you earn the bonus for all weeks in all categories. Of course the weight loss will vary so we won't know until the final day (June 28th) who has won! The reward: The winner of the challenge will be awarded the Gone for Good Club's Medal of Honor which can be added to their signature line. However, all who participate will receive the reward of better health and a lower number on that scale, so I want to see all of you participating! Good luck to everyone and may you all lose! *Gasp!* We lost over 300 pounds in May!! Awesome job everyone!! :clap2: Congrats on your NSV, Feel2Young2B40! That must be an awesome feeling, but I also understand the fishbowl thing. Hold your head up high and be happy! These people are noticing good things. What a change from people looking and thinking the opposite, right?! Ok, Lianna... you twisted my arm. There will be 5 pt bounses for each perfect WEEK in June's challenge. Cool.

Further to Krispy Kremes what fast food do you loathe? All of them! ALL of them!!!! We lived on fast food for almost two years. Breakfast, lunch and dinner! That food made me what I am today.. a fat (but shrinking) unhappy (but getting happier) woman! The grease. The fat. The sugar. The needless amounts of calories. Blech. No thanks. I'm finished with it all. Just getting near a fast food place turns my stomach now. All I can smell is old grease. Eww. -

Starkist Luch packs are awesome if you like tuna. They come with 6 Ritz-type crackers, a pouch of tuna, and small packets of low fat mayo and pickle relish. I rely on Pop Secret 100 calorie bags of Kettle Corn for my Snacks, although that really doesn't have any Protein in it. Do you ever buy bagged salad? The iceburg lettuce in those is very tasty all on its own. Almost like eating chips. Crunchy and naturally sweet. For those times when you just want something to chew on.

Requesting prayer for our own FunnyDuddies. She's so sick with what we thought was strep or tonsilitis. The other night she fainted from deyhdration and fell down the stairs. She's banged up but not seriously injured. She went to the Dr again today because the pain killers aren't helping with the pain. Her throat is so swollen she can't swallow - thus the dehydration. It took them 10 times to finally get the IV in because her veins are so bad from the dehydration. They keep threatening to admit her to the hospital but noone seems to know exactly whats wrong with her. She'll be going back to the Dr tomorrow.. so let's be lifting her up in prayer please. Remember she just went through 12 days of her little girl being hospitalized with pnuemonia, and the whole family was hit hard with the flu shortly after that. They really seem to be under attack.

Ok, listen up everyone who wants to be in the June Challenge... Complete your Spring scorecards and get your amounts tallies on the scorecard only. I'm going to go through them, and might recruit Tricia K to help me, to verify the totals you came up with. After we feel sure that everyone has completed the cards and we have verified the totals, I'll announce the winner. This might take until Friday, so please be patient. As for the June challenge. Tonight, after everyone has weighed in for the normal GFG weekly weigh in, I'll be starting the June GFG Club thread. I will start it just like I did this month's thread, with the Members Page, the Honors Page, the Challenge Rules, and a blank Score card for June. The first day of the June Challenge scorecards will be today, May 31st. So you will get to count any exercise you did today on the Spring Challenge Scorecard as well as the June Challenge scorecard. I did this so we could keep in line with the Wednesday weigh ins. Please dont post your totals anywhere but on your scorecards. And there's no point in giving me your starting weight for June. Just wait until the June thread starts and you can put all of your info on your own card. I will close out this thread with a link to the June GFG Club thread (like I usually do) and then you can copy and paste a scorecard and get it started just like you did for the Spring Challenge. You'd walk here in Boise, Wheetsin? That would be awesome. Can we come and cheer ya on? If you do that, you'll be here in the spring/summer and it will be beautiful. Maybe a little too chilly for camping and hiking in the higher levels but certainly not too cold for some senic drives.

Hi Yasmin! I live in Meridian - which is a lot cooler than Mt Home in the summer time. Whew! There are a lot of bansters collecting in the Boise area now. The Idahobansters group meets once a month for Soup night, usually the last week of each month. There is also a support group that meets at St. Al's hospital the first Tuesday of each month. Some folks go to both, some dont. The support group mostly consists of people who were banded by one of the two Boise band surgeons, but the Idahobansters has folks who were banded locally, out of state, and out of the country. I'm sure you'd be welcome to join either group ya want. Several of us try to get together to walk as well. Not knowing your school schedule I dont know who to suggest but you should join the Yahoo group (Idahobandsters) to get in contact with more local people. Not all of us are on both boards.
