I did see them. Kind of reminded me of the oozing green goo that I looked at for many days! I am doing ok now. I have a 7" X 1" scar on my tummy tho. Have they given you any idea how long this will take to heal?
-
Glad to hear from ya Trish. I've been wondering how things were going with you. Your doctor sounds right on. I hope it heals quickly. I dealt with a 2nd degree burn for a couple of months, no where near the ordeal you're going through and I know how awful it was! *hugs* Keep us posted.

Maybe thats why it came out so evil? I'd stay away from the fridge if it were me! LOL!
-
Ok, I was going to take dear Rob and make a funny clown face on him, then give him back to Funny as a way to get around the fridge police. But... *looks sheepishly at Funny* he came evil. *snorts*

Grats Shantel!! Welcome to Bandland! It will take some time to figure out what real hunger is now. If youre anything like me, I never allowed myself to feel real hunger because I was always stuffing food into my pie hole. *snickers* Sip on your Water and Protein shakes whenever you get hungry. And it is normal to be hungry more often when you are on liquids. Don't worry about how much you're eating/drinking right now. Chances are, you aren't getting anywhere near 800 calories yet. So drink when you need to and focus on healing. You've gotten some good advice so far. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. And remember not to over-do it, which is easy to do when you feel so good but you must allow those stitches to heal and your band to get settled in before you do too much.

OMG. I just realized that I am only 18.5 pounds away from -100 pounds! :faint: Where has the time gone? July 9th is my 6 month bandiversary! SIX months already!? At this rate, I'm going to be someone's ancestor long ago dead and buried. Slow down TIME!!

GFG Club - Guess Funny's Apron Weight
PhotoNut replied to PhotoNut's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
At Funny's request, we are opening this game to all of LBT, not just GFG Club members. I tried to edit the title and remove the GFG Club - but it's still showing. Anyway... if we get a large response, I will add 1/4 pound options. -
I got a fill (.5cc) on Tuesday and today is my first day on solids again. So far so good. *knock on wood* I am being forced to slow down and chew my food well again. And a meal that was going down quickly and leaving me wanting more, once again fills me up! Yay! I've eaten three meals today, all 4 hours apart and I had a 100 calorie bag of popcorn today, but that wasnt from hunger. Just wanted it. Feels good to know that band is in there doing its job again!

Who Has Lost Over 100 Pounds?!?!
PhotoNut replied to Rockin' Robyn's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
18.5 more pounds and I'll be joining this club! Woah! :faint: -
Heyas Denika, Yup, my husband (Dawg) has lost 72 pounds along with me. Basically, he eats his own food and not what I eat. Mostly because he doesn't like the same things I like but also because he needs larger quantities since he isn't banded. I was afraid of having to cook his meals and facing the temptaion to eat things I shouldn't, so we talked about it prior to my banding and decided he would try Healthy Choice meals for his dinners. He loves them. He can fix his own dinner in minutes. He gets a wide variety of foods he enjoys, and he never has to worry about making the choices because they are all good meals. For Breakfast, we pack him a can of DelMonte Lite peaches or fruit coctail and sometimes a container of Fiber One Cereal with 1/2 cup of milk. Other times, he takes Quaker Healthy Heart Instant oatmeal. For lunches, he usually relies on tuna. He carried the Starkist Tuna lunch packs for a long time. I have also packed him a nice large salad to which he will add a can of tuna and some fat free dressing. He also has a Pop Secret 100 pack of popcorn in the evenings for a snack. Sometimes I will cook a roast in the crockpot, or some chicken on the grill. We also LOVE pork steaks marinated in Sesame Ginger and cooked on the grill. When I make these meats, we usually have a bowl of fresh fruits or a salad to complete the meal. We have both sworn off all sugar and flour products. We both drink at minimum of 64oz of Water per day. And we are both slackers about exercise! *laughs* We are trying though. We bought a treadmill and got a gym membership. I think we are going to start swimming in the mornings before Dawg goes to work. There's a good example of positive thinking! LOL Anyway, I hope this has helped. I can tell you that your husband will have to want this for himself and for you before he will be able to achieve the same success as Dawg has. This wasn't something I talked him into or made him do so it would be easier for me. This was something HE wanted as badly as I wanted my band. And he's the same way - refuses surgery or pills.
-
Is there a good video to watch while on the treadmill? Something that perhaps gets more than your legs moving and makes the time go by faster? My problem is that I get so darn bored.

Errr... I think that was Heather that posted the bridesmaid dress pic. So... are we even sure Kristin is getting married? Maybe it was Lins that's getting married and Telly is the bridesmaid? *snickers*
-
Oh geeze... oops! *blushes profusely* Sorry about that Kristin and Emilee! Ok, Kristin will be the beautiful bride and Em, you can just be beautiful! *grins at you both*

Arrr, arrr, arrr!!! I laughed out loud! I'm still laughing!

Well, I'm sitting here in complete shock. I was gone for a week and didn't know anything about this. Penni, how's she doing now? Is she home? Please tell her that I send big hugs and prayers for a complete and speedy recovery. Bless her heart.
